Design Statement:

This portfolio represents. . .

The idea that a design just can’t be thrown together, it takes thought, imagination, creativity, and most importantly time. You can’t expect to have a good final project after five minutes of work. You have to try and fail, then try again. Then, just when you think you have a perfect product, stop, there is always something you can adjust to make it a little better.

Fall Leaves Illustration DESCRIPTION

This was the first project that was assigned for Graphic Design 2. The purpose of the project was to get the class familiar with the pen and eyedropper tool. This project helped me learn how to use the pen tool correctly as the class moved onto the next few projects in illustrator. es dolorrores essit

IPod Illustration DESCRIPTION

The second of the three projects in illustrator, the IPod Illustration was one of my favorite projects and one of the most time-consuming. This project along with the Fall Leaves Illustration got the class ready for the final project in Adobe Illustrator, The Line Art Shoe Illustration, by using the Rectangle and Elipse tools.

Line Art Shoe Illustration DESCRIPTION

The Line Art Shoe Illustration, was the final project the class did in Adobe Illustrator. This project required the excessive use of the pen, eyedropper, rectangle and elipse tools. This project also required a lot of patience, because I wanted to be as detailed as possible. GD2

Clipping Mask Tutorial DESCRIPTION

This was one of the many photoshop tutorials the class had to do. The tutorial was teaching how to use clipping masks in photoshop.

Blending 1 Tutorial DESCRIPTION

Another of the photoshop tutorials, this project taught the use of the blending options feature. We used this technique to make it look like the gun was firing.

Perspective Box Tutorial DESCRIPTION

The perspective box tutorial, had us use the polygonal lasso tool, and the free transform tool to build up the box. Easiest tutorial ever.

Photo Montage DESCRIPTION

In the Photo Montage project we used all our knowledge of photoshop to create a realistic collage of items that describe you. We used some new photoshop tricks as well. Such as using the object opacity to give the illusion of reflections in glass.

Photo Manipulation DESCRIPTION

For this project, we found a picture and manipulated it to look like something else, and since I had no better ideas, I put a giraffes neck and head on top of a wiener dog.

“The Most Awesome Factory-Built Truck This Year.” - Car and Driver

The Magazine Advertisement was easily my favorite project of the class. The project was to design a advertisement layout, then used the layout to create a complete advertisement. I came into the graphic design room almost everyday to work on this project.

Admission Ticket DESCRIPTION

The final project in InDesign, The Admisson TIcket project took the most time. For me at least. I restarted the project 4 times, creating something completely different each time until I was satisfied with the result. In the end, after restarting 4 times, and going though countless pictures of Would Series tickets, I ended up with this.
