CHADERRIA BRATCHER INTERIOR DESIGNER
BIOGRAPHY ChaDerria Bratcher is a Philadelphia native who graduated from Lankenau High School in 2015, ranking fifth among her graduating class. Upon graduation, she chose to continue her education studying Graphic Design at Kutztown University. While at Kutztown, she served as Vice President and Treasurer of a school modeling organization. In 2017, ChaDerria decided that her passion for design was with Interior Design rather Graphic, and transferred to the Art Institute of Philadelphia, not knowing that they would close their doors the following year. In 2019, ChaDerria transferred to Harcum College to continue her Interior Design Education, where she was an active member of her design class and remained on the honors list all 4 semesters. While at Harcum, ChaDerria excelled as an Associate Designer at Calligaris in King of Prussia and also obtained her certificate as a Lash Technician and opened her own business, Darling Lashes. In 2020, ChaDerria began her Interior Design career with her own venture, Bratcher Design Studio, and is excited for all of the other Interior Design opportunities in her future.

ESSENCE Magazine Headquarters Location: Cira Centre, Philadelphia, PA Commercial The design for the Essence Magazine E-Publisher focuses on the use of colors and patterns to serve their motto “Black Women come first.” To convey this, the use of their hallmark color, Purple, is repeated to represent luxury, royalty, and power. To add brightness and liveliness, different shades and hues of yellow are repeated to promote creativity while balancing the two colors out with the use of patterns. To create Rhythm and movement, patterned carpet tiles are used throughout the plan. The open space plan promotes collaboration through the use of partial walls and etched glass walls for semi-privacy.
