Our team, composed of diverse, skilled personnel, including licensed professional engineers, licensed architects, value engineering specialists, and experienced construction professionals has been the firm of choice for dozens of schools/colleges/ universities for over 30 years. CHA boasts a multi-disciplined team from five service lines and a group of technical experts who assist owners in resolving design challenges by delivering integrated technical solutions. Our extensive knowledge of individual building systems allows us to plan, review, construct, and commission complex projects, ensuring they meet or exceed the owner’s criteria and provide maximum life-cycle value. Safety is a top priority for CHA during planning and construction activities. When it comes to safety we emphasize managing education projects as schools first and construction sites second.
For over 30 years, CHA has proudly served as the Engineer of Record for the Bethlehem Area School District (BASD), providing comprehensive facilities engineering, design, and project management services. The replacement of the 95-year-old Nitschmann Middle School presented unique challenges. CHA played an integral role in managing the development of plans, providing value engineering recommendations, and tenacious on-site monitoring to ensure the District received the highest quality project at the best value. As a certified LEED Gold building, it boasts a sophisticated, fully controllable, highly efficient HVAC system that allows the Facilities group to monitor and adjust building setpoints as needed, creating a comfortable environment while also limiting the building’s energy usage.
We are in the business of being the very best professional services firm helping our clients minimize the risks inherent in the design and construction process. This is achieved through offering a comprehensive range of services to support our clients during every phase of a project.
CHA’s Capital Improvement Planning (CIP) services involve preparing a detailed description of physical conditions within each of your buildings. The CIP is typically developed for a 5-10 year period, but remains dynamic to meet a client’s changing needs. Each facility’s condition is prioritized through a customized logic matrix and assigned an estimated cost by building and category. The CIP is updated annually for completeness, relevance, and accuracy.
Establishing dependable cost estimates early in a project and updating those estimates throughout the project life cycle is critical to project success. Poor initial estimates can cause projects to be canceled, delayed or require owners to remove sorely-needed project elements in order to meet available funding. CHA has a long and successful history in establishing accurate budgets and cost controls, and delivering value and innovation in the project components and in the manner and sequence of their construction.
CHA Consulting, Inc. provides design & project management services for athletic & recreational facilities, such as gymnasiums, natatoriums, sports field & stadiums, and exercise & game rooms.
