SHORT BIO
Eric Bathory Delajoux is a visual artist. At the age of 8 he met his catgirl evermuse on the Ré island, she was 7. He got the «very high honors» for the Beaux-Art School of Arts Diploma, Communication department, Graphic option.Then he was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship for Educational Exchange and the L’Oreal grant and spent 2 years of Master in Painting at Parsons in New-York. In three dates :
V He showed the «key hole oil triptych» at the Fringe Festival of Brighton U.K.
V In Milan W.E.A. Gallery he showed the 4 x 2 meters oil painting «Northern Seas Islands Everlife Cycle», now in a London’s private collection.
One day he broke all of his paintings. That lead him to his first visit to a Mental Hospital. The ‘Portraits Romancés’ serials continued, along with his ‘Living Paintings’.
V Since may 2024, 15 paintings of his «Milky Way» serial hang in Venice in the permanent collection of the stunning Palazzo Contarini della Porta di Ferro, Ruskin’s fave venetian gothic ruin of bizantine descent, restored and blessed with a sublime gothic flowery staircase, including his 3,70 x 1,90 meters oil painting «Snow-white & the Technicolor».
E.B. could be defined as a psycho-cat, with a pinch of glitter.
His universe ? «Romantico-tragic» !

L'objet de ma candide dévotion a les pieds sur terre et marche de pas de velours. Mais c'est de l'espace orangé que brille sa primordiale constellation catwise. Sa réalité compose, non-onirique mais bien de matière vive.
