The Hoodswhite Experience As artists, Hoodswhite lives to their name not just with their music, but with their videos, onstage appearances and alter-egos, too. Their black clothes and corpse-paint covered faces complete the whole picture, providing watchers and listeners with an overall eerie and haunting experience. Their influences are very complex from black metal of the symphonic nature like Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth to old school influences such as Immortal, Burzum and Satyricon. While they appreciate many musical geniuses under the rock genre, the bottom line is that they do their own music. Uniquely Hoodswhite, if you put it. The Hoodwshite experience is unlike the typical pop, hip-hop or r n’ b music most people listen to. In fact, it is so dark that it is quite unlike the rock music that most of us are used to today. But to the open ear and the open mind, their music is appealing. For some very mysterious reason, their songs are even quite addicting. Most people would want to understand the meaning behind the shrieks and the growls or the reason behind the erratic changes in tempo, asking themselves “what the hell am I listening to?!” But sometimes you don’t have to wrack your brains out for good music, all you have to do is listen, bask in its darkness and enjoy.
