In between the action and constant banter from Dante & company, be on the lookout for Easter Eggs throughout the show? Ever wonder what Dante might have done in Raccoon City? Tune into the show and find out!

For Avance this issue, the Charlotte clinic explores the rising threat of Measles, and what you can do to protect yourself against the disease. Be sure to check in on if you are due for a vaccine, something the clinic can advise you on in this article and at their Uptown office.

Netflix Lands Another Bombastic Game

Adaptation with Capcom’s Devil May Cry

While not extremely active in the last few years, Devil May Cry is still known as one of Capcom’s most popular game franchises Having spawned five games between its inception in 2001 and 2019, an anime season back in 2007, and multiple cameos in games in between, Dante to this day is a well-recognized figure.

When Netflix announced its own animated take in the works, it already had one amazing adaptation under its belt with the long-running Castlevania series, which before that came out, fans of the games were frightened at the possibility that justice would not be done to the property. Thankfully, the streaming giant was able to consistently dazzle fans with season after season of medieval escapades, but can Netflix work the same magic with DMC? Mostly, the answer is yes.

2025’s Devil May Cry adaptation replies on many of the original story beats from the game series In the beginning, the demon Sparda, the Black Knight and once right-hand of Demon World ruler Mundus, flees their realm and seals off Earth from the other side. After stopping Mundus from conquering the human world by sealing the main Hellgate, Sparda meets Eva, who gives birth to his twin sons Dante and Vergil

The series picks up with Dante already as a bounty hunter specializing in other-worldly foes, when one day both a villain calling himself the “White Rabbit” and a security team known as DARKCOM come to his doorstep. Both intent on taking his mother’s stone keepsake, and depending on who gets it, the demon world opens back up on Earth or is hopefully locked away for good within the United States government vaults.

With this revision on the original storyline, the music is loud, the action is plenty, and the attitude is all over the place.

Dr. Rhett's Health Corner MeaslesOutbreak

HighlightsUrgent Needfor Vaccination

Across the country, health officials are responding to a surge in measles cases— the highest in several years. Measles, a highly contagious viral disease, can lead to serious health complications, especially in young children and immunocompromised individuals. In light of this outbreak, it is more important than ever to understand the vital role of vaccination and the proven safety of the MMR vaccine.

Understanding Measles

Measles spreads easily through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes. The virus can linger in the air for up to two hours after a contagious person has left a room. Symptoms typically begin with a high fever, cough, runny nose, and red, watery eyes. A few days later, a distinctive red rash appears, usually spreading from the face to the rest of the body.

While some people recover without complications, measles can cause pneumonia, brain swelling (encephalitis), and even death. About 1 in 5 unvaccinated people in the U.S. who get measles will require hospitalization.

The MMR Vaccine: A Safe and Effective Solution

The MMR vaccine protects against measles, mumps, and rubella—all serious diseases. Since its introduction in 1971, the MMR vaccine has dramatically reduced measles cases in the U.S. and worldwide.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends two doses of the MMR vaccine: the first at 12–15 months of age and the second at 4–6 years. This two-dose series is about 97% effective at preventing measles. Adults who are unsure of their vaccination status should speak with their healthcare provider about getting vaccinated.
