A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Roots run deep when you’re raised on a Midwestern farm. Although I left the successful farm operation that my brother runs to this day, I haven’t strayed far. After thirteen years in the Farm Credit system after college, the creation of the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac) brought the concept of a secondary market for agriculture into focus. That concept, together with a desire to create something on our own, brought the original AgFi group together.

In those early years at Farm Credit, we worked primarily with corn, soybeans, wheat, tobacco and some livestock. We never looked back, and one of the real blessings of what we do now is exposure to ALL agriculture in the U.S. In addition to those Midwestern grains, our group has worked with cotton, rice, citrus, wineries, permanent plantings, peanuts, sugar, other fruits and vegetables, and large swine, beef, poultry and dairy operations, just to name a few. From day one, we have been focused on agriculture and rural America.

What I’m most proud of? Our people. We have always had extremely low turnover in the company, with several folks who’ve been with us for 20+ years. As a group, our team is very focused on personal service to customers, and that will never change. I’m humbled to think I had a hand in starting a company from scratch that is an active lender to farmers and ranchers from coast to coast, handling over $2 billion in mortgage loans, and supporting over sixty families with employment and great benefits.

Servicing mortgage loans has become an increasingly important part of our business. When we started the company, one of our goals was to service any loan we originated. We value customer relationships and we want those relationships to last. Our portfolio has grown substantially in recent years, both from our own originations and from loans we service for other entities.

As we have added servicing for other lenders, we have focused on maintaining THEIR customer relationships with programs that allow individual branding on websites, billing statements - everything. While we certainly have contact with the customers of various lenders, supporting that lender’s customer relationship is always of highest priority in our minds and actions.

As you will read on the following pages, our focus is on America’s agricultural producers and rural America. Our team has deep experience in credit underwriting, mortgage loan closing, and servicing mortgages on rural properties across the country. When you work with AgFi, you work with the best. Transparency

Stay up-to-date on every customer account with a simple click of a button. You can track important updates, notifications, copies of billing statements, activity reports, and all customer documents securely on our MyAccount online portal. Our secure file sharing portal contains loan progress tracking, customer document library, field-servicing reports, and monthly earnings reports.

Personalized Customer Service

When a customer calls our office, they talk to a LIVE person - not a machine. Our highly-trained and friendly customer service representatives are dedicated to investing the time to identify the real needs of the customer without pushing them from department to department. At AgriFinancial, phone calls are answered by a select few, highly-experienced team members. They are happy to help support any question - from partners, to current and prospective customers.

Convenience

We know what customers want! With AgFi, there are four easy ways to pay: Wire, Online (through our secure web portal), Automatic Draft (ACH), or by Mail. We monitor property taxes, escrow and PMI accounts, and notify customers of important deadlines and updates. We help determine if insurance coverage is adequate and when policies need to be renewed. Because time is our most valuable asset, we provide quick turnaround of payoffs and verification of mortgages. As an added benefit, we have no incoming or outgoing fees on wire transfer payments. We know the value of brand awareness, credibility, and recognition, and we make it a priority to preserve the relationships you have. We want to build on that trust you have worked to establish with every customer. We offer design services that prominently place your logo on customer communications including billing statements, ACH account statements, the payment portal, and the customer’s personal online account.

Our commitment to a high level of communication starts with a solid relationship with you. Our Business Relationship Manager is your direct line of contact at AgriFinancial. Daily account reconciliation, remittance, and reporting, rate change notices, maturity date notices, ACH statements, and field-servicing details are just a few of the items accurately and securely provided to you in a timely manner. Also, we utilize the Microsoft suite of products to leverage system connections; allowing us to integrate touchpoints, phone calls, and data to protect your existing relationships.

Accountability

AgriFinancial is proud to be SOC-1 compliant. We leverage technology to monitor escrow, maintain reports, and notify us of account needs, ensuring the accuracy on loan accounts. To further protect your investment, we monitor UCCs (Uniform Commercial Codes) for liens against collateral, CREMs, and CRPs, and request annual property inspections, financial statements, and tax returns.
