TOP TEN STATES AVERAGE VALUE PER ACRE
According to the USDA Land Values 2020 Summary Report, “The United States cropland value averaged $4,100 per acre, no change from the previous year.” Values are impacted by a set of complex economic factors including commodity prices, expected returns on production, interest rates, as well as projected future returns. Availability also has a significant influence on land values. The supply of farmland for sale has been limited in recent years, thereby boosting sales prices.
