Go Fishing

At the 52nd Annual Diocesan Convention, Bishop Brewer offered a redemptive perspective as he surveyed the upheaval we are experiencing in the world. “I believe with all my heart that God is shaping us, changing us, restructuring us for a new missionary opportunity,” he said. “Let us receive in fresh ways the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Let us look with new eyes on the communities where God has placed us. He wants to invite us into the privilege of being, in a new way, a channel for his healing, his life and his power. Let us, sisters and brothers in Christ, in 2021, prepare for the harvest.” This page is dedicated to that missionary vision for the diocese.

This image of the oil painting titled "Go Fishing" by Jeanne Harris Weaver, parishioner at St. David's by-the-Sea in Cocoa Beach, is an inspiration to leave behind our “boats and nets” to share the good news of God’s redeeming love in fresh, creative ways.
