CET Taiwan provides ample ways to connect with Taiwanese people & Taipei: •Meet weekly with your language partner: grab a coffee or visit a night market. •Take part in CET-planned activities: bike in Tamsui, tour a tea farm, or cheer on the local baseball team. •Read the CET weekly newsletter filled with things to do. Use your cultural reimbursement stipend to check out an exhibit at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.
INTENSIVE CHINESE (Fall/Spring: 12 credits. Summer: 10 credits) • Taught by the Chinese Language Division at NTU • Small class sizes for targeted instruction ELECTIVES (Fall/Spring only: 3 credits) • Taiwanese History, Culture, & National Identity • Sinophone Cinemas, 1980-2000 • Gender & Sexuality in Taiwan • Cross-Strait Relations between Taiwan & Mainland China • Global Health: The Perspective from Taiwan INTERNSHIP (Fall/Spring: 3 credits. Summer: Non-credit) • Placements available in a wide variety of fields including: politics, medicine, business, education, & media/journalism.
