We v s ted ARTER for th s week’s work. It was an nterest ng bu ld ng w th ts d

erent floor levels and sta rcases. We were able to see ea-

We found a place where we could see at least two floors and drew what we saw by draw g only the m a n l nes , just l ke n bl nd contour work, n 10m ns.

In th s work our task was to t e two penc ls together by leav ng a

g a p between them, f nd a po nt and draw what we see and dupl cate by th s method. I taped the penc ls together crossed and one of the penc l’s t p be ng a b t n front of the other’s. It was a b t hard to draw wh le two of them were

We were asked to show the

we do not Th s week we tr ed to draw by hand and a body part wh ch normally use to draw . I use my r ght hand to draw so I drew w th my left hand. I was look ng r ght at sculpture wh ch has many l nes and the struggle made me not ce the deta ls more. I looked at th s artwork so many t mes but th s t me I tr ed to draw and see more carefully and the curves that make the surfaces were hard to draw.

Th s week we drew the same ve w by us ng for three d

erent d stances. On

w th

the

f rst one drew w th a pen taped to thep o nt of a 40cm long st ck. It was the hardest to control but the most enterta n ng one. Only the dens ty s apparent, the shapes are not.

On the second one taped the penc l to a shorter st ck.

Aga n t was hard to control but I was able to convey more deta ls because I I had more control.

On the th rd one I drew by hold ng the penc l from ts t p.

I drew very clearly but by press ng too hard. Interest ngly us ng th s much pressure wh le draw ng also made t hard to

t-sh rt hang ng on a cha r and rad ator. Fabr c s a good th ng to study l ght and shadows;

, Degree of l ght was the hardest part but t

was fun.

I tr ed to do t w th us ng charcoal and mask ng tape. There were reect ons on the w ndow and the l ght was com ng from the curta ns. For reect ons I used eraser but for the sharp parts I used mask ng tape.
