How to Turn on Lights

There are two banks of lights that turn on all available areas. If you are the first in the building, please turn on both sets of lights. The diagram below shows the location of light switches and lockers.

Lockers

Staff will be provided with a secure locker. The key for your allocated locker is your responsibility as so we suggest that your key is attached to the supplied lanyard. If you lose your key, please ensure you advise Mark White on 0418 766 845 or Colin Wellard on 0474 409 579 as soon as possible.

After-hours access

Staff do not need to advise anyone of entering the office after hours and do not need any additional security passes or access codes to enter after office hours. Staff will be able to access the office via the doors at the bottom of the escalators, staff need to ensure the doors close behind them as they proceed up the escalators.

Visitors passes

We have several visitors passes for Hargreaves Street staff. Please obtain one from the Hargreaves Street reception before going to the Charing Cross Office. This will ensure your entry. Staff visiting from other offices, or who arrive without a visitor pass, will need to sign-in at the main entrance, as per external visitors and guests below. Please ensure passes are returned to reception following your visit.

External visitors and guest

There are several meeting rooms available to reserve in the lobby of Bendigo Bank Reception. Please arrange directly with Bendigo Bank Reception to arrange a booking if you are planning a meeting with external visitors. Visitors will not be given entry into the Charing Cross office. Please continue to book meeting rooms in Hargreaves Street where possible to utilise our reception to greet and assist with visitors.

Reception

The main reception located at the top of the escalator is for the entire building and not a CESL reception. The main office of CESL will remain as Hargreaves Street. Reception will have Administration Assistant’s contact details for advising of any deliveries or messages as needed.

Mail

There will be an outgoing mail tray set up in the printer and stationary room in the middle of the office. Administration Assistants will monitor items placed in the trays and arrange for staff travelling to Hargreaves Street to deliver. Mail will continue to be managed from CESL Reception in Hargreaves Street and they will arrange for staff travelling to Charing Cross to deliver.

Setting up your desk

The IT team have set up each desk area, with monitors, docking station and keyboard and mouse (unless you took them home) from your Hargreaves Street desk and your boxed items will be delivered to your allocated desk area. All you need to do is bring your laptop.

An Ergonomics assessment will be found on your desk on arrival, we recommend that all staff complete the assessment and ensure their desk is set-up to ensure you can work safely. If you require any additional equipment to support good ergonomics (i.e. footrest or a monitor riser), please let your Administration Assistant know and an order will be placed. Monday Morning Prayer/ Staff Briefing

There is a large room on the other side of the toilets that will be used for staff to gather for Monday prayer as per usual at 8.30am. The IT team have organised a mobile screen that can be easily moved to the area.

Printers

Two printers will be located in an area in the middle of the office. IT will advise the name of each printer as soon as assigned. They will automatically be added to your printer setup.

Secure shredding

A secure bin will be relocated from the Bendigo Office for onsite secure shredding. This bin and a small shredder will be located in the main printer room.

Stationary

The printing room will be set up with a range of stationery items. If there are any extra items that you require, please contact discuss with your Administration Assistant who can arrange with reception staff at Hargreaves Street.

Rubbish & Recycling

Office desks will not have individual bins, instead, an adequate number of communal bins will be located in each of the neighborhoods. An internal collection service will ensure that the bins are emptied periodically throughout the week.

How to Book a Meeting Room

The meeting rooms have been added to the calendar booking system. Each room is numbered and named Charing Cross FC#. Below are the names of the rooms, capacity and if the room is private or open. There are three rooms with Teams units installed, please be mindful of booking these when connecting with colleagues or external stakeholders outside of Charing Cross. The map under this table shows the locations. Your Administration Assistant can assist as required, however, the booking process is the same as you currently use.

Meetings at Hargreaves Street Head Office

The meeting rooms at Hargreaves Street are still available to be used by staff based at the Charing Cross office. A number of ‘Hot desks’ will also be available for Charing Cross staff who need to work at the Hargreaves Street site.

Air con/ heating

These are controlled and on a timer. Staff are not required to turn any systems on or off Please contact Mark White or Colin Wellard if you need to alert them about an issue.

Car parking onsite

Allocated staff car parks are located beneath the Bendigo Bank building with access via Bath Lane. The car parks are located on Level 1. Two pool cars will also be situated at the Charing Cross office site for booking via Mark White.

For those with car park access they can swipe into the car park at the bottom of the roller door. Once they drive through the roller door if they could please wait until the door comes down, they can then enter the building as normal via the lifts in Foutain Court. To leave when they swipe the boom gate the roller door will come up. Can staff please wait until the roller door comes down once they have exited the building, before they drive away.

If you have an allocated car park you can park a motorbike as well if preferred.

Motorbike

There are no additional motorbike parking spaces available onsite unless you have an allocated car parking space. You will need to find other parking options around the area. We will update staff if this changes.

Scooter & Bike Parking

Scooters and Bicycles can be stored in the bike storage area. Mark White will show staff where they can be stored. No riding them in the laneways and Fountain Court.
