We are an independent, non-partisan, and global organization, dedicated to inspiring, training and supporting educational leaders in Brazil and in the Global South, as well as promoting applied research that subsidizes transparent and efficient decision-making processes, based on data, evidence and effective solutions. We were idealized by the Lemann Foundation and are inspired by the outstanding case of Sobral (Brazil), a city with low socioeconomic status which, from 2000 to 2004, went from 49% to 92% of students learning how to read and write at the right age and, since then, has been ranked 1st place in the national Basic Education Development Index.
We are part of a global network of Lemann Centers, the first and only in the Global South!
