COMUNITY LENDING El Borrego

Located in the eclectic community of City Heights sits El Borrego Restaurant. Specializing in Lamb, El Borrego brings Mexican Cuisine from the Hidalgo area of Mexico to San Diego. The restaurant is owned and operated by the mother and daughter team of Irma Sotelo and Rodnia Attiq. Since 2009, the restaurant, situated on the iconic corner of 43rd and El Cajon Blvd and walking distance from the Copley-Price Family YMCA, offers not only in-door seating, but recently opened its “al-fresco” patio area with its Mexican decor and music, transporting its clients to the midsection of Mexico.

Civic Communities through its Building Business Success Loan Program was able to refinance the cost of the restaurant’s new patio area into a fixed rate fully amortized small business loan.
