Prayer Focus: A Continued Resurrected Life
Welcome to worship at Central!

Sermon Series: After the Empty Tomb
Last Sunday, we began an Easter sermon series called After the Empty Tomb. On Easter, the disciples found Jesus’ empty tomb. In the readings throughout the Season of Easter, we see the continuing encounters between the disciples and the risen Christ. They likewise think back to earlier encounters with Jesus and reinterpret them in light of His resurrection. As we read these lessons, we must hear the word of God in light of the resurrection and consider how we should react to the empty tomb. Our faith, here and now, is a response to an experience of the risen Christ. Just as the experience of the risen Jesus changed the first disciples and how they encountered the world, so our encounter of the risen Christ should guide how we continue as Christ’s body in and for the world.
