When I managed my department, I used to manage the in-patient pharmacy at my workplace. We had some elderly employees who could no longer do certain things or some of the daytime duties were getting difficult, so we found a job and duty that they can do. They were able manage it which allowed them to still diverse environment? Learning everyone’s perspectives. Communication and being able to understand each other’s beliefs. be part of the team.

CSM: What is your approach to understanding the perspectives of colleagues from different backgrounds? Being open-minded.

CSM: How would you handle a situation where a client or a talent was being culturally insensitive, sexist, racist, or homophobic? I would ask them to please treat everyone with respect. I would let them know it is not acceptable and if they continue I would let them know that we can’t continue working together.

CSM: How would you advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion with brands or companies that don’t understand its importance? Educate, train and implement. The key to dealing successfully with diversity is open, honest communication. In a diverse workplace, we should all feel free to be ourselves — while treating others with respect.

CSM: Describe an ideal brand that has a sense of inclusion, belonging, and equity on a daily basis?

Establish a process and bring awareness. Educate, modify and accountability.
