Resident Assistant

As a resident assistant (RA) on campus, you’ll work with Residence Life professional staff to maintain a safe and welcoming residential environment.

RAs strive to create individual relationships with each of their residents in their area and are often one of the biggest influences on a student’s perception of their college experience.

Applications open in January for the upcoming academic year. You must have lived on campus for at least a semester before applying.

Residence Hall Association

RHA is the governing body of the residence halls. They put on programs, help decide residence hall policies, oversee the Hall Councils, and participate in regional and national leadership programs.

RHA members can serve on the Executive Council or be a general member. Annual events include homecoming participation, traveling to conferences, the RHAffle food donation drive, and more!

Students who serve on RHA EC are elected in March to serve for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must have prior experience on Hall Council or the General Board of RHA to apply.

National Residence Hall Honorary

Members of NRHH represent the top 1% of the residential student body at Centenary. Members spend their time doing community service, recognizing the efforts of other campus community members, and promoting Centenary in our regional and national affiliations.

Nominations to NRHH are collected in March from the Centenary community. To be selected, you must have a 2.5 GPA, show continued leadership in the residence halls, complete an application, and be voted into the honorary by current members.

Hall Council

One of the first leadership opportunities available to new students, Hall Council members advocate for students in the dorms, promote community through event planning and recognition, and gain leadership experience at Centenary.

Meetings start in September and are open to anyone living in the residence halls. Join at any time!
