Kinesiology uses scientific theory and modern research methods to generate practical applications for the advancement of health, wellness, healthcare, and disease prevention. Incorporating courses and topics such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, personal and community health, motor learning, physics, and symbolic reasoning, Centenary’s kinesiology degree combines strong liberal arts roots with practical experiences to get students moving toward success.

Put your knowledge to work with internship and research opportunities, thanks to Centenary’s strong ties to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine, and other community partners in Shreveport-Bossier.
Kinesiology majors can participate in the Medical Scholars program, a partnership with Willis-Knighton Health System that pairs pre-med students with WillisKnighton doctors for five weeks of job-shadowing and mentoring opportunities.
