Today’s successful engineers must exhibit superior technical skills and be able to effectively communicate their expertise in a global marketplace. Centenary’s 3/2 Engineering program is a dual degree program - students finish with a degree from Centenary as well as an engineering degree from one of our partner universities. This preparation provides students with a strong, broad base of knowledge as well as develops critical skills in areas such as analysis, reading, and technical writing. This liberal arts foundation also helps future engineers understand the potential social, cultural, and economic impact of their work.

Students may earn transfer admission to one of our partners listed below contingent upon upholding a minimum GPA at Centenary College (varies depending on university), requisite coursework completion, and submitting the appropriate transfer application by the university’s specified deadline (typically in December of the student’s third year at Centenary).

• Washington University, St. Louis, MO (guaranteed admissionminimum 3.25 GPA)
• Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH (guaranteed admissionminimum 3.00 GPA)
Degree Information
Students enrolled in the 3/2 program pursue three years of concentrated studies in the liberal arts and engineering sciences at Centenary followed by two years of professional engineering courses at a cooperating university. Upon successful completion of all degree requirements, students typically earn a Bachelor of Science degree in their chosen major from Centenary and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the cooperating university.
Students may also choose to complete a degree at Centenary and pursue either graduate engineering study or a second undergraduate degree in engineering. Some engineering affiliates offer BS/MS programs which typically can be completed in a total of six years.
