Centenary students stand out.
You won’t be just a number at Centenary. Professors are accessible through small class sizes in lectures and labs, including 100-level courses. They serve as student advisors, even for first-year students, and mentor undergraduate research during the academic year and in the summer. Centenary offers B.S. degrees in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, and neuroscience along with a B.A. degree in biology. Students have the opportunity to participate in research with Centenary faculty as well as at Louisiana’s second largest health care complex, LSU Health Shreveport, and other nationally-funded summer programs.
The Medical Scholars program, a partnership with Willis-Knighton Health System, pairs pre-med students with Willis-Knighton doctors for five weeks of job-shadowing and mentoring opportunities.
