Just north of Austin in the suburb of Cedar Park is the Cedar Park Center, a venue which proudly hosts the Texas Stars, an American Hockey League team. Owned by the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars, they are a prominent team that can currently boast the Calder Cup win in 2014. Watching a game in this beautiful center is exciting, and an escape from the Texas heat is an additional benefit. For the sports lover, Austin has lots to offer. Despite its populous, Austin doesn’t have a club in any major professional sports league. This doesn’t stop the locals from loving their Longhorns with a passion, taking in an exciting Formula 1™ race or enjoying the unique local pastime that is the Texas Rollergirls.
