Magnum Trailers started as a dream in the back yard of Charles and Vangie McLemore. Their first two trailers, a 3 axle equipment trailer and a single axle boat trailer, were both built by Charles in his own back yard in 1968. Magnum Trailers was officially established in 1973 in Luling , Texas when with the help of friends and coworkers Charles and Vangie opened their commercial shop. By 1976 it was time to expand, prompting the move to their current location at 10806 HWY 620 N., in Austin, Texas. Through the years they have weathered a multitude of changes. Charles and Vangie’s son’s Todd and Mike grew up working along side their parents learning the importance of quality. Their family was not the only thing that grew, the small boat and utility trailer manufacturing plant the McLemore’s started, bloomed into a second store in San Antonio, Texas by 1988, a third by 2002 in Georgetown and a fourth in 2005 in San Marcos. Each trailer Magnum builds is built by hand, so you can rest assured you get the best quality, this also makes it a breeze to custom build exactly the trailer you are looking for. Aside from manufacturing trailers, Magnum expanded to selling all types of trailers including enclosed trailers, gooseneck trailers, stock trailers, car haulers and motorcycle trailers. Of course if you are going to sell all those trailers someone needs to service them and who better than the experts that build them. Magnum sports a full service department to do any repairs you might need or if you are a do-it-yourselfer, feel free to visit their parts department. Magnum also knows that if you are pulling a trailer you must have a tow vehicle, so they also carry tow vehicle accessories. With any family owned business you can see a little into the lives of the owners. Hunting and country living has always been a big part of the McLemore family lives, so they have found a way to incorporate that into the business by selling deer feeders, deer stands, hog traps, YETI coolers, bbq pits and fire pits. 40 years later Magnum is going strong. Charlie, Vangie, Todd and Mike can be found daily at one of the locations, making sure things are done right. Please take some time and go by Magnum Trailers they would love to show you around.
