I will be your child’s 7A Homeroom and Social Studies teacher for the year. I am excited to be a new member of the CHP community and am looking forward to getting to know you and your kids this year. The 2022-2023 school year is an exciting time for us all, and I look forward to all the great learning and positive experiences amongst our CHP students, parents, and staff. Our engaging and participatory curriculum continues to be and will allow your child’s natural curiosity and creativity to flourish. In the following pages, I have provided detailed information about supplies, lunch, snack, arrival and dismissal, and more. Please be sure to read through it all.
Student Safety and Supplies For students, safety is our number one priority, so please send your child prepared with his/ her daily supplies as we will not be sharing personal items. Since we use lockers, please remember to send your child with a locker shelf, which is essential for helping the students organize their books and supplies throughout the day. Locks are not necessary. Please secure in their backpack the following 1)items:Masks – will be optional this year (if you choose to have your child wear one, please provide it yourself). 2) Water bottle, lunch/snack and utensils Lunch Order: Click Here for More Information 3) Personal school supplies for the day (i.e.: pens, pencils in pencil pouch, paper, binder, etc.)
Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
Students should be dropped off outside the side gate from 7:40 am. Please be punctual as Morning Assembly will begin promptly at 8:00 am. From 3:45 pm, students line up and are dismissed from the side gate until 4:00 pm. After 4 pm, they will be sent to AfterCare.
For both Arrival and Dismissal, you can drive up to drop off and pick up your child without parking. No parents will be allowed past the gate for security reasons.

Uniforms
Students are required to wear regular school uniform daily (include Health class), except on Gym days twice a week, when they wear their gym uniforms. Students will receive their schedule on the first day of school. Every student should come to school in regular school uniform on the first day, Thursday, September 8th.
Summer Homework Students should remember to bring in their summer homework during the week of September 12th, or as advised by your subject teachers. Summer Homework Assignment
Please familiarize yourself with Gradelink. This will be your Parent/Teacher portal for academic grades and report cards. You can also set up parent alerts to facilitate your child’s optimal learning.
