I am so excited to begin this journey through 4th grade with you! The 2025-2026 school year is an exciting time for us all. Our explorations will channel us through our imaginations as we investigate, analyze, and create. What can 4th graders accomplish this year? The possibilities are endless!
In addition to being your child’s homeroom teacher, I am also the Grade 4 Language Arts/ Social Studies teacher, and Ms. Vicari is the Grade 4 Math/Science teacher.

Student Safety and Supplies
It is important for students to approach each day feeling comfortable and safe. To help them achieve this goal, please guide your child to secure in his/her backpack the following items:
1) All school supplies as requested on the supply list you received.
2) Daily Planner which will be given out on the 1st day of classes.
3) Since we use lockers, please remember to send your child with a locker shelf to help organize books and supplies.
4) Locks are optional. If your child will be using a combination lock, please have your child practice opening & closing at home.
Please include the following items in your child’s backpack each day:
1) A refillable water bottle, lunch, a healthy snack, & eating utensils.
2) Aftercare students should bring a p.m. snack, separately packed & labeled PM Snack.
3) Personal school supplies for the day (i.e., pens & pencils in a pencil pouch, books, folders, planner, and homework.)
4) For our new families, when parents come to New Parent Orientation on September 4th, you may bring your child's supplies in a bag labeled with their name.
5) For our returning families, you can bring your supplies on September 5th, the first day of school. Please make sure your supplies are labeled.

Catering Solutions
Lunch Order
Students should be dropped off outside the side gate from 8:00 –8:20 am. Please be punctual. If your child is enrolled in Before Care, drop your child off through the side door under the portico. Before Care staff will usher your child into the Multipurpose Room.
At 3:30 pm, you will pick up your child from under the portico. After 3:45 pm, remaining students will be sent to After Care. If your child is in After Care, please go to the Main Door. The receptionist will then call for your child.
For both Arrival and Dismissal, you can drive up to drop off and pick up your child without parking. No parents will be allowed past the gate for security reasons.
Uniforms
Students are required to wear the regular school uniform daily (including Health class). Two times a week, on Thursday and Friday, they are to wear their gym uniforms.
Students will receive their schedule on the first day of school. Every student should come to school in the regular school uniform on the first day, Friday, September 5th.

Blackbaud Parent Portal
Cedar Hill Preparatory School utilizes Blackbaud as the central parent portal. Through this platform, families are able to access and upload essential student records, including contracts, health records, permission slips/forms, and attendance information.

Steps To View Completed Files/Forms :
1. Log in with your parent credentials
2. Click on your Profile at the top right corner of the portal
3. Choose Files & Forms
4. Check the Show Completed Forms checkbox
The portal also provides access to Tuition Management, where families can review invoices and manage tuition payments.
Steps to Access Tuition Management:
1. When Logged in the Blackbaud Portal, click on the Resources tab in the top navigation bar.
2. Select the Tuition Management tile - Your account and invoices will appear on the screen.

Summer Homework
Returning students should remember to bring in their summer homework on Monday, September 8th.
