Stellenbosch University’s Central and Events Conference ce (CECO) is a professional support service and central point of contact for all your conferencing needs on campus.
Our capable team will see your project through from conception to completion. CECO can assist with project, legal and supplier management, l modelling, guest, and client communication, as well as conference logistics.
Accommodation
The fully furnished, centrally located, self-catering Waldenhof and Crozierhof apartments provide a practical and comfortable base from where visitors can explore and experience this gem of the Boland. Larger groups can also be accommodated in Stellenbosch University residences during the winter and summer university holidays and form part of our budget accommodation portfolio.

This complex is nestled in the hub of the main campus in the Neelsie Student Centre. It boasts two theatres – a 121-seater and a 98-seater – both with a projector, powerful surround sound, lighting, and luxurious seats with fold-away writing tablets.
The auditorium is intimate enough for all types of celebrations and an ideal space to host a wide range of event types, including private screenings of films, corporate meetings, talks, workshops, lectures, fundraisers, launches, birthday parties (from kids to milestone celebrations), and so much more. The foyer to the Endler hall boasts large murals by the late Larry Scully and has some marvellous views of the mountains surrounding Stellenbosch. The foyer can easily host up to 300 people.
This majestic concert hall is perfect for a grand opening for your conference. 531 plush red chairs set a dramatic scene against a backdrop of a 2-story organ. The world-class acoustics are the result of this beautifully designed concert hall.

The Fismer Hall is suited exceptionally for a smaller audience. The hall can seat 200 people when filled to capacity with loose chairs. Fitted with 60 fixed chairs, the hall also boasts a wooden sprung floor. The hall also boasts recording studio facilities and lighting to facilitate video recording.

The Adam Small Theatre Complex was recently renovated and now boasts world-class theatre and conference facilities. The Auditorium will provide a beautiful backdrop to your conference plenary. Historical Highlights:
Designed in 1853 by architect Carl Otto Hager, originally as the Old Lutheran Church. Saved from demolition in 1969 by Dr. and Mrs. Anton Rupert, lovingly restored, and donated to Stellenbosch University.
Transformed into an art gallery the same year and is now managed by the Department of Visual Arts since 2014.

The JH Neethling Building at Stellenbosch University has deep roots in history, dating back to 1925. The building was named after Prof JH Neethling, a founding lecture at the Faculty of Agriculture (now AgriSciences). The building houses the Department of Viticulture and Oenology, South Africa’s only university studies in this field.
Celebrating the centenary of the Faculty of AgriSciences in 2018, first-year students planted 100 indigenous tree saplings to mark the occasion. The venue offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity, making it a stunning location for your next event.
