The planting on the facades of the ground floor and the 2nd level provide acoustic and visual barriers to the intimidating and awe in ducing cliffs.

The circulation hugs the inner walls in a cir cular pattern, guiding people to the lookout spaces on each level, finishing at the open air space at the top of the building.

The space is lit by natural lighting as a delib erate experience for visitors.

The stained glass skylight that gives the tow er its name draws light from the open air top floor to the greenery filled second floor. The yellow stained glass light takes advantage of the positivity commonly evoked by that bright colour.

ALEXANDA CANAL PRECINCT MASTERPLAN

The revitalisation project is centred around the Northern end of Sydney’s Alexandra Canal. The project is guided by a three part vision: revitalising waterways to connect with Country, integrat ing significant heritage sites with newer public and private spac es, and increasing pedestrian appeal to draw people into each new human centred spaces.

This is achieved through naturalising and landscaping the Alex andra Canal with native species, creating green walkways that connect new public spaces, implementing new guidelines for the creation of resilient, sustainable and attractive enterprise and in dustrial sites, and the addition of a mixed-use development for home availability and affordability.
