CDP was one of Christian Aid's partners in their 3-year emergency response programme in 2010 that provided relief, early recovery, and rehabilitation support to some of the most affected and vulnerable communities. The Ketsana Rehabilitation Programme sought to “enable urban poor communities seriously affected by Typhoon Ketsana to recover from their loss and strengthen their capacities to sustain their lives and livelihoods.”
The Banaba Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Project was one of the few CBDRRM projects implemented under the DRRM law where changes in the structure and DRR mechanisms vertically and horizontally among LGUs were advocated along with capacity-building duties that they needed to sustain and provide in the community-level.
