Lauren Levine and Alex Kassan celebrated their marriage with a weekend-long fiesta at Rosewood Mayakoba
IT’S IN THE DETAILS
THE DRESS Lauren wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and headpiece from Stone Fox Bride with a detachable veil.

“I didn’t want a classic white wedding. I wanted it to look like a jungle with lots of greenery and color,” says the bride, who worked with L.A.-based planner Mindy Weiss (as had both of Alex’s siblings).
TRADITION Nearly 200 guests danced the Hora. “We were both kind of freaked out,” says Lauren.
HUSBAND + WIFE “We worked in the same building. Alex saw me and did a little recon work,” says the bride, chief of staff for SLT (a fitness company). Two years later, Alex, who works in financial investments, proposed with an asscher-cut ring from Roxbury Jewelry in L.A. The couple now lives in SoHo.
ALL IN THE FAMILY Lauren poses with her father and father-in-law. Lauren’s family is from N.Y. and Alex’s hails from L.A., so they split the distance. A Riviera Maya wedding accommodated family from both coasts.
RECEPTION Banquet tables, Moroccan and Chinese lanterns, bamboo place settings and lush centerpieces set the scene. “The flowers actually draped down off the tables.” ABOVE The couple’s niece and nephews.
