Marriage Material e never thought we’d be working together,” says Diana Perrin, “but we really couldn’t imagine doing anything else.” Two years ago, Diana and Josh Perrin were planning a bohemian black tie wedding at Culver City’s Smog Shoppe and wanted something different: mismatched antique silver flatware. Diana, a food stylist, and Josh, an architectural photographer, began collecting from estate sales and sifting through vintage markets across Southern California. The couple acquired all the flatware they needed, plus a plethora of polished brass vases and one-of-a-kind dishes. “After the wedding, our vendors wanted to know if they could buy our plates and trays, and that’s when we decided to launch Casa de Perrin,” Diana remembers. A westside warehouse now houses 50 curated suites that span from colorful Persian rugs, crystal
coupes, tumblers and goblets to 19th-century china and a rainbow of cake stands. The couple recently commissioned sets of 24-karat gold flatware; to accompany a vintage set of Florentine trays, they had 300 chargers made in Italy. “Not a day goes by that I don’t buy something,” says Diana, who counted more than 40 events on the books in the month of June alone. In addition to full-service table setting, Casa de Perrin also offers custom sourcing for events and decorating/staging of private china cabinets. New this summer, clients can register for or purchase the singular treasures from the site—use for your wedding and take it all home with you at the end of the night. casadeperrin.com casadeperrin.com. •
