Welcome to the 2023 Colorado Dragon Boat Festival

Welcome to the 2023 Colorado Dragon Boat Festival!

We are so proud to bring you the 23rd Annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival honoring the Year of the Water Rabbit (Year of the Cat in some Asian cultures).

I invite you to eat delicious food from our Taste of Asia food courts, grab a cool drink from one of our beverage booths and enjoy as you watch our amazing LOCAL artists eduTain you with their performances. Shop in our amazing Marketplace full of Asian & BIPOC Vendors, check out our Dragonland area for family and education. And of course, watch as our dragon boats race across Sloan Lake all day!

We are so proud to announce that just this year we have purchased a brand-new fleet of Dragon Boats for our organization. This has been 23 years in the making and I want to thank our Dragon Family past and present for making this dream a reality!

We are proud to bring Colorado the LARGEST Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) celebration in the Rocky Mountain Region and the LARGEST Dragon Boat Festival in the USA!

The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is run by a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and it would not be possible without the support of our elected officials, the City and County of Denver, sponsors, vendors, performers, race teams, and day-of volunteers!

As a nonprofit organization with only 2 full time staff, we rely heavily on the support of our community. Please consider donating to Colorado Dragon Boat Festival to help us “Keep the Boats Afloat!”. Even just a donation of $10 goes a long way!

Thank you for coming and supporting the AANHPI community and our 501(c)3 nonprofit, Colorado Dragon Boat!

Meet our Dragon Family

The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that is run by 2 full time employees, a handful of festival contractors, and an amazing Operations Team that meets year-round. Most of the people involved in our festival are passionate volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts year-round!!

Thank you to our Dragon Family!
