CORPORATE COUNSEL WOMEN OF COLOR’S 21ST ANNIVERSARY CONFERENCE
DEAR COLLEAGUES, LEADERS, AND TRAILBLAZERS,
Welcome to the 21st Annual Corporate Counsel Women of Color and Kirkland & Ellis LLP Conference, taking place at the iconic Chicago Hilton, October 1–4, 2025. Whether you are joining us for the first time or are a returning member of this remarkable community, I am deeply honored to welcome you to what promises to be one of the most dynamic, empowering, and forward-thinking gatherings in CCWC history.
When I founded Corporate Counsel Women of Color more than two decades ago, I envisioned a powerful global community where women of color attorneys could thrive—where we could share resources, lift each other up, and take our rightful place as leaders in law and business. Today, that vision has become a vibrant reality. With over 5,000 members strong, CCWC has grown into a movement—one that spans law firms, Fortune 500 companies, academia, media, government, and beyond. We are a force of knowledge, excellence, and transformation.
NEW THIS YEAR: EXPANDED EXECUTIVE PROGRAMMING
We’re excited to introduce new programming specifically for senior legal executives, including General Counsel, CLOs, Deputy GCs, and Corporate Secretaries. On Thursday, participants will engage in a CLE session on law department management, and on Friday, we will host a special executive leadership learning session at McDonald’s—a unique opportunity to explore leadership development through the lens of one of the world’s most iconic brands.

Laurie Robinson Haden Founder and CEO Corporate Counsel Women of Color
This year’s theme—Clarity, Courage, and Career Elevation—reflects not only where we are, but where we are going. The legal profession is undergoing seismic change. Technology is reshaping our workflows. Global business is demanding more agility, more innovation, and more inclusive leadership. And through it all, we are not just responding—we are leading. This year’s programming was built to meet you at every stage of your leadership journey and propel you toward your next level of impact.
WEDNESDAY BOOT CAMP: POWERING UP WITH CLE
We begin the conference on Wednesday, October 1 with our high-impact CCWC Boot Camp—a full day of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programming designed to position legal professionals at the cutting edge of change. This content-rich track includes sessions on Artificial Intelligence and the Law, emerging trends in complex litigation, and navigating the path to corporate board service. From fiduciary duties to courtroom strategies to technology ethics, our boot camp ensures you’ll leave better informed, better prepared, and ready to lead in today’s fast-evolving legal landscape.
MAIN STAGE EXPERIENCE: TWO DAYS OF LEADERSHIP MASTERY
On Thursday and Friday, the heartbeat of the conference unfolds on the Main Stage—featuring sessions designed as a masterclass in executive-level legal leadership. Thursday focuses on navigating transformation, quantifying your value, and leveraging AI responsibly. These sessions are led by general counsel, CLOs, and innovators who will share real strategies—not just theory—for making legal a key driver of enterprise success.
On Friday, we shift inward with a powerful focus on redefining success, mastering self-advocacy, and ascending to the C-suite and boardroom. Whether you’re charting a pivot, seeking expanded scope, or mentoring emerging talent, you’ll walk away with tools to lead authentically, strategically, and unapologetically.
