The Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) offers employers more control over key areas of apprenticeship training. You can choose how you pay for training, receive funding (if eligible), select training courses, and manage your apprentices.
The service is available on the government website, and you will need your PAYE scheme and Tax office reference numbers to register and create an account. You can access the DAS whether you are a levy paying employer or not, learn more about the apprenticeship levy on our website.
If you need help with your account or would like to talk through the process, please contact us and our expert team of Business Development Executives will be happy to guide you.

We are the largest provider of post-16 education in the region
Bespoke programmes
working with employers to provide access to the latest technology in industry designed to meet your needs
£164m invested in facilities
We started working with the College approximately two years ago, after attending a Careers Fair and having an informative conversation with them about what they could offer us in terms of apprenticeships and short courses for our staff and volunteers. As a result of this, we secured two apprentices in our Finance and Facilities teams, who are both doing extremely well. They have also been able to offer short courses to our volunteers and staff, which is a great benefit to us as a charity, as they were free. This helps with our ongoing training, succession planning and to add value to what we do and provide to our patients and families.

The Employer Advisory Board is made up of several employers across different sectors. These employers work closely with Cheshire College to help us shape our curriculum and ensure it meets current and future skills needs in the Cheshire region. There are separate boards for different sectors and each board meets once a term (in-person or online) to collaborate and agree on skills priorities. The focus is on skills gaps and recruitment challenges, as this gives the employers the opportunity to support the development and delivery of suitable programmes.
