Saturday March 26th Preliminary Event

Beauty Pageant

Dozens of children and teens compete in an array of categories each year in the Rice Festival Beauty Pageant. Winners are selected in their respective categories by three judges. Each of the category winners has the opportunity to ride in the Rice Festival Parade. The winner of the teen category receives a monetary scholarship to be used for college expenses.

Tour de Lowcountry

Saturday March 26th Preliminary Event

The Tour de Lowcountry is an annual cycling event that brings 200-300 riders from all over South Carolina and surrounding states. Participants ride through the Lowcountry, passing rice fields and plantations including White Hall Plantation, Bluff Plantation, and Cherokee Plantation.

Taste of Walterboro

Tuesday April 26th 6-8pm

Hands-down Walterboro’s most delicious event!

Location: Walterboro Wildlife Center • 100 S. Jefferies Blvd.

Tastebuds beware: local restaurants, caterers and bakers will be serving up their best fare! Tickets are $20 each – all you can eat and drink – must be 21 or older.

Where: The 5K and Fun Run will begin simultaneously on W. Washington St. and Klein St. in Downtown Walterboro.

Morning-of Registration and Packet Pickup will be held at the Walterboro Wildlife Center, 100 S. Jefferies Blvd., Walterboro, SC 29488.

Parking available adjacent to venue.

Saturday, April 30th from 6:30am - 7:45am 1 Mile Fun Run For all ages, runners and walkers — the Fun Run is just that — for FUN! It is not a race, so no placements or individual awards will be given. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal.

Stephanie has served as the Choral Director for the Colleton County High School for 37 years.
