• CA Assembly Bill 5 (AB5) passage late 2019 required us to review our various existing employee and contractor relationships. The decision was made to make several organizational changes. 1) NPOA tennis professionals, who have previously been independent contractors, were brought on as employees this summer 2) Made the difficult decision to discontinue massage services 3) the operation of the snack shack continues to be an independent contractor.

• We hired a DRC Consultant this spring to administer DRC requests. We are digitizing DRC related information.

Information in paper file folders in the admin offices and hard copies of plans in Adult Building are being digitized.

These documents will be combined with Paychex True Shift which is an online and saved into a single folder for every single-family residence.

• Dumpster Site Enforcement – as shared in several recent eblast communications, we are very actively identifying owners or guests who have used the site inappropriately and fining violations in an effort to encourage appropriate use of this site.

Finally, I wanted to provide a hearty thank you to all of our members and your guests. Our hard-working team at the Recreation Center very much appreciates your patience, understanding, and support this summer and into this fall season.
