Hi, my name is James, I am 19. My mates call me Gozzy. My hobbies are sports, exploring, adventure and gaming. The sports I play are softball, baseball and footy, I have represented SA in softball and was the captain for my U 17 state team. I was born and raised as a Port Adelaide supporter due to my great grandfather and my great uncle playing for Port Adelaide in the past.
WHY I WANT A CIVIL CONSTRUCTION CAREER
I want a career in civil because there are more avenues that I can take compared to other trades.

I work well in a team environment. I like to work efficiently and effectively to get the job done. As they say, quality over quantity, but at the end of the day, time is money.

Currently, I’m looking to do plant operating work. After my apprenticeship, I look to continue with my host employer for a few years before I decide to travel the world.
In around 10 years, I want to be a plant operator in the mines. My dad has been working up in Moomba since 2006, and also, I have mates starting to go off to work in the mines.
I have completed the Civil Connections pre-apprenticeship program, working at heights, Doorways 2 Construction program, which gave me my Cert 1 in Construction and Cert 2 in Carpentry.
