If you know of any retired or semi-retired Members interested in joining the Retired Members Group (RMG) of CCF SA, please contact Bob on 0402 016 942. Planning RMG activities in 2021/22 is obviously difficult when everyone’s attention is focused on complying with COVID-19 restrictions to stay safe by abiding with current activity restrictions. Plans to release our annual social program for 2022 are still in abeyance until the ‘coast is all clear’.

However, we did get the last event successfully completed in November 2021 by holding our traditional Christmas gathering in the dining area on the first floor of the CCF SA building. We had a very good attendance of 35 members and partners. Prior to socialising, we arranged for a superannuation speaker to outline ‘Being Retirement Ready’. We trust it won’t be too long before everyone is vaccinated, and we can move on with our RMG social programs for 2022. The other major RMG announcements were the retirement of Glen Blackmore from the RMG Sub-committee, and David Truran as its Chairperson. The Sub-Committee appointed Peter Jeffery as interim Chairperson until elections in mid-2022.

In closing, RMG also passes on its heartiest congratulations to John Chamberlain for his President’s Lifetime Achievement Award which was announced at our Industry and Training Gala Awards dinner last November.
