In October we celebrate the season’s last harvest, and spend time highlighting the Farm to School Initiatives work. Just the school year alone, Livingston Manor School has purchased $4,700 worth of local produce from NY farms. On October 21st, we will be celebrating by taking the pledge to eat locally and join our schools by participating in the Big Apple Crunch. Each school within Sullivan County will have NY State apples for students for this event.
