ENJOY THE STAGE !! Where is the Theatre: The Performing Arts Complex at the Pinnacle Charter School Address: 1001 W 84th Ave, Federal Heights, CO 80260 When to Arrive at the Theatre: 10 - 15 minutes BEFORE you or your dancer’s call time. (Please see pages 10-13 of this document for the specific call time.) What to Expect When Arriving at the Theatre: 1. All student performers MUST be checked in by a parent, guardian or designated adult(s) (Adult parents of CCD). 2. Please COMPLETE this digital Check-in Form BEFORE you bring your dancer to the theater for each rehearsal and performance. 3. For Adult Dancers, please make sure the Check-in Desk knows you are present. 4. Please bring ALL required items and required items ONLY (No jewelry or earrings please). 5. Absolutely NO nail polish, any temporary ink, or temporary tattoos (Please cover the permanent tattoos if they will be seen). 6. All performers should arrive with the hair and makeup DONE. 7. All performers MUST wear street clothes or warm up clothes with their leotards/tights underneath. What to wear underneath: a. Advanced female students - Dress Code leotard + flesh-colored tights b. Male student dancers - Dress Code c. Adult performers - Ballet attire d. Intermediate and Primary female performers - nude leotard + flesh-colored tights

BACKSTAGE ORDER OF OPERATIONS ● Stage Manager will let Ms. Michelle Bernier (Faculty Lead/Assistant Stage Manager) know when dancers are needed and where they need to be. ● Ms. Michelle Bernier will inform the dancers when they are needed and where they need to be. NOTE - If you are not part of the teams above, please enjoy your time away from the theater and backstage during rehearsals. What to Expect While Inside of the Theatre: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

All Performers will stay backstage until the end of the rehearsals/performances. No doors will be allowed to be propped open due to safety reasons. Only Crews and Active Performers are allowed in the wing spaces.* Dinner and Snack time will be scheduled around rehearsal time. During the performance, there will be no time for snack or sack lunches.

*If an understudy is scheduled to go on, the understudy will be allowed in the wing spaces during the previous performance. Otherwise, please stay away from the wing spaces. What to Expect When Leaving the Theatre: 1. Performers MUST leave and hang ALL costumes inside their dressing rooms (Costumes include everything you wear on stage that belongs to CCD). 2. All student performers MUST be checked out by a parent or guardian who will fill out the check-out information in person with a CCD iPad at the Check-in/Check-out desk. 3. All performers MUST have their street clothes/warm up clothes on BEFORE leaving the theatre.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU DURING PRODUCTION WEEKS WHAT YOU MUST BRING TO THE THEATRE EVERYDAY: Hair supplies - Please put ALL in a Ziploc Bag + Label with Dancer’s Name: 1. Aquanet hair spray (purple can) – all 2. Bobby pins that match the color of the dancer’s hair – all 3. Large comb – for all who can make their hair to a bun 4. Hair nets that match the color of the dancer’s hair – if applicable 5. Extra hair elastics that match the color of the dancer’s hair – if applicable 6. Boar-bristle brush – if applicable 7. Curling iron (1 inch for long hair, ¾ inch for short, thin hair)– if hairstyle applicable Make-up supplies - Please put ALL in a Ziploc Bag + Label with Dancer’s Name: 1. Foundation (that matches your skin tone) 2. Eye shadows 3. Black Eyeliner 4. Heavy waterproof black mascara 5. Eyebrow Pencil 6. Fake Eyelashes + Eyelash glue (Advanced 1-5 female dancers only) 7. Lipsticks 8. Blush 9. Moisturizer 10. Make up wedges 11. Chapstick 12. Makeup brushes 13. Makeup remover wipes Other Items: 1. Any medication or injector to treat life-threatening allergic reactions (for example, Epipen) 2. Water bottle (Label with the Dancer’s Name) 3. Big oversized button-up/zip-up shirt that will cover your entire costume 4. New tights and extra tights (Please only wear the new tights while getting into costumes during dress rehearsals and performances) 5. ALL ITEMS FROM YOUR COSTUME LIST 6. Nude-colored leotard (Female performers Only) 7. White T-shirt + Black socks for adult male ACT I performers 8. Dress code (Advanced 1-5 + Male student performers) 9. All necessary dance shoes (new or new-looking shoes, and all elastics and ribbons that match your costumes are securely and properly sewn, draw strings are tightened and not showing.) 10. Small sewing kit if you are wearing pointe shoes 11. Clear gel, roll-ons or spray deodorant (For performers 9 years old and up) 12. Warm up clothes


WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU DURING PRODUCTION WEEKS WHAT YOU MUST BRING TO THE THEATRE DURING Rehearsals and On Saturdays: 1. Sack dinner that is labeled with Dancer’s Name - These will be stored in the hallway and are NOT allowed backstage. Note: If your dancer has any allergies or health issues involving food (for ex- low blood sugar), please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Please be very specific about your child’s condition, symptoms and treatments in your written notification. Please include a doctor’s statement, if appropriate.

WHAT YOU MAY BRING TO THE THEATRE: 1. Homework (If you need to use a digital device for this, we expect you to only use your device for Homework.) 2. Books, Cards, crafts, or small/quiet activities for backstage (don’t forget to label them!) 3. Additional Hair items when applicable 4. Additional Makeup items when applicable 5. Advanced 3-5 students + Adult performers can have their phones in the dressing room, and anyone else please leave the phones with the parents/guardians 6. Snacks that will help you have energy throughout the rehearsals.* * Dry food is allowed ONLY in the upper dressing room where ADV 3/4/5 students are + Adult dressing room, and other snacks are ONLY allowed in the hallway.

WHAT YOU CAN NOT BRING TO THE THEATRE: 1. Digital devices that can make sound 2. Glitters, liquid, gel, tiny beads or toys of any kind 3. Any sharp edged items

Theatre Etiquette BE CAREFUL – 1. Absolutely NO running, horseplaying, gymnastics, picking each other up, and etc in the theatre. 2. Please DO NOT touch any technical equipment. 3. Please DO NOT touch the legs (the curtains that create the wing spaces). 4. Once you are in makeup, please avoid touching your face and please don’t “Fix” your makeup. 5. Be very careful not to get makeup on any costumes. BE RESPECTFUL 1. Please respect the theatre: Please make sure you leave all areas of the theatre the way you found them EVERY DAY. 2. Please respect the costumes: a. Take good care of them b. Please DO NOT touch costumes or props that are not yours c. Absolutely NO eating or drinking (except water from a water bottle) when you are in costumes. 3. Please respect the volunteers: They are here to help you to have the best experiences possible. “Please” and “Thank you” are expected. 4. Please respect our crews: They work the most hours during productions. “Please” and “Thank you” are expected. 5. Please respect our guest artists: They are here to perform and share their artistry with our audience and community, and they need their space and time before and after the shows. Note: During the dress rehearsal, ALL dancers will be escorted quietly to the back of the house to see these guest artists perform. 6. Please respect the performance and each other who is in the performance: a. Please do not go into the dressing rooms that are not assigned to you. Dressing Room Assignments: i. Advanced 1, 2, Intermediate and Primary Students - Band Room ii. Adult performers - Back/Large dressing room iii. Advanced 3,4,5 students - upstairs dressing room iv. Professional Guest Artists - Front/Smaller dressing room b. Please be as quiet as possible while backstage c. Absolutely NO talking or making sound while waiting in the wings d. Keep performing as long as you are on stage


Theatre Etiquette BE ATTENTIVE – 1. Please follow the rehearsal schedule. 2. Please get into your costumes when you are asked. 3. Please be ready to go to the wing spaces when you are asked.


FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS ONLY Access to restroom: ● Always have a fellow advanced dancer with you when you go to the restrooms that are located in the theatre lobby during rehearsals. ● ONLY warm up clothes shall be worn while you are heading to the restroom. ● During the dress rehearsal with photos and performances, please use the restroom BEFORE “places” and during intermission.

Sunday Strike, December 10th & 17th: All Advanced dancers (Advanced 1-5) will be required to stay after the Sunday shows to help with strike. Special Note for Advanced 3/4/5 Dancers on Costume Care: You are responsible for all of your costumes and your costume elements. 1. Checking all of your costumes upon arrival to your dressing room. a. Make sure all of your costumes and accompanying costume elements are on the rack in your designated dressing room. b. Make sure all of your costumes are completely zipped/hooked/buttoned shut so there is no risk for damage to other costumes on the rack. 2. Look over your costumes to make sure there are no marks, stains, rips or tears. If there is anything wrong with your costume, tell Ms. Sue ASAP. 3. Set up your quick change before the rehearsal and performance. 4. Have a quick change buddy for ALL rehearsals and performances and make sure you know each other’s costume and hair needs. 5. Please do not leave any costumes or accessories laying around on the floor. 6. At the end of the night, do another check of your costumes and accessories to make sure there is no damage, stain, or any other issues.


FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS ONLY 7. When hanging your costume up at the end of the night, all hangers should be facing the same direction and make sure that all hooks, eyes, and zippers are completely closed. 8. Support each other and help when needed and please inform the Artistic Director if additional support is needed
