COFFEYVILLE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Coffeyville Community College is a comprehensive two-year institution of post-secondary learning. The College offers 19 academic programs, 18 technical programs and 14 certificate programs. Students can graduate from the College with one of five Associate Degree options. The College has a head count of approximately 2,500 students each academic year.

Coffeyville Community College began in 1921 when enabling legislation in the Kansas Legislature created the school. Then on February 12,1923, the Board of Education voted a resolution to present a proposal to the voters to establish a junior college in Coffeyville. Accreditation: Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1972. Accreditation reaffirmed in 2015 for 10 years.

Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference

Nick Dobler, who has served as the Red Raven Defensive Coordinator for the past four seasons, will become the 22nd Head Coach in Red Raven Football program history.

Coach Dobler joined the Coffeyville staff in the Spring of 2020 as the Defensive Coordinator coaching the Linebackers. Dobler's top year with the Red Raven defense came in 2022 when the defense ended the season as the second-ranked defense in the KJCCC and fourth in the NJCAA, only allowing 14.5 points per game. Dobler's 2022 Red Raven defense also provided the 2022 KJCCC Defensive Player of the Year in Red Raven Bishop Fitzgerald.

Overall, Coach Dobler has coached 8 different Red Raven linebackers to All-KJCCC honors as well as one to NJCAA All-American status.

Before his tenure at Coffeyville, Dobler served as the Defensive Coordinator at Kilgore JC (TX) for eight seasons. His remarkable coaching career at Kilgore was marked by outstanding achievements, including three SWJCFC Conference Championships (2012, 2018, 2019), two Region XIV Championships (2015, 2018), and participation in four Bowl Games (2012, 2015, 2016, 2018).

Dobler has earned a reputation for instilling a standard of dominating defensive play against some of the nation's top offenses. His coaching prowess has produced notable players, including a NJCAA Defensive Player of the Year, a SWJCFC Overall MVP, and two SWJCFC Defense MVPs. Additionally, under his guidance, eight players were recognized as NJCAA All-Americans, and 29 as SWJCFC All-Conference Players.

A former player himself, Dobler was a two-time KJCAA All-Conference player for Independence CC (KS) during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. His exceptional performance led him to win the John C. Pittman Award for the best male athlete after his sophomore year. Dobler concluded his collegiate career at Northeastern State University (OK) from 2009-2010, earning two LSC All-Conference distinctions and All-Academic honors in 2010. His senior year saw his team clinch the Lone Star North Division.

In accepting the Head Coaching position, Dobler said "It was an honor to be picked to be the head coach for such a tradition-rich program as Coffeyville Community College. After serving under Hall of Fame Coach Jeff Leiker, I am excited and ready to see what we can do as a quality football program moving forward into the future."

In discussing the hiring of Coach Dobler as the Head Football Coach, Coffeyville Athletic Director Jeff Leiker said "Coach Dobler has taken pride in the traditions of Red Raven football, and as our Defensive Coordinator his defensive tactics have been pivotal in providing wins over the last four seasons. We believe Coach Dobler is ready for this opportunity and we look forward to great things happening in Red Raven Football."

Originally from Topeka, KS, Dobler graduated from Seaman High School in 2006. He holds an Associate of Science degree from Independence CC, KS (2007), a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern State University, OK (2011), and a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M-Commerce, TX (2013).

Off the field, Dobler and his wife Judy are proud parents of three boys, Nolan, Wyatt and Gideon.

Veterans Memorial Stadium first opened in 2001 where it welcomed over 6,000 fans in its inaugural game.

Veterans Memorial seats approximately 5,500 but has held more than that on numerous occasions.

The Red Raven football team is sponsored by Nike. We went back to our roots with Red and White jerseys and pants, allowing four different color combinations for game day. Players choose from three different cleat options and receive travel and conditioning apparel too.

HEISMAN TROPHY WINNER Mike Rozier 1983 “Rozier rushed for over 2,000 yards as the main weapon on one of the most prolific offenses of all time as he became the second Nebraska player to win the Heisman Trophy.

Rozier was born in Camden, New Jersey. He was a sprinter and running back for Woodrow Wilson High in the late 1970s and smashed countless school records.

Despite his gridiron heroics, he was not heavily recruited coming out of high school in 1980 and, anyway, his grades were not up to par. So he spent his freshman year at Coffeyville Community College in Kansas, leading that team to a perfect 9-0 season.

Rozier was the No. 1 draft pick and was chosen in the USFL by the Pittsburgh Maulers and then the Jacksonville Bulls before being chosen in the supplemental draft by the Houston Oilers in 1984, where he played for seven years. He finished his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons in 1991.

The Presidential scholarship provides Kansas tuition, loan of books, and $500 per semester for on campus housing.

Presidential Honors Scholarship to select students who have a minimum 24 ACT score and a 3.6 unweighted high school GPA. Presidential Honors students will receive a full scholarship including Kansas tuition, loan of books, institutional fees, room and board for on campus housing.

The cafeteria and Redd’s Market are located in the Student Union. The newly renovated cafeteria has a deli, dessert bar, and a hot food line. Redd’s Market includes a wide variety of healthy food and snack items that are stocked regularly and set up like a convenient store.

The CCC Square is located in the heart of campus. The square offers a place for students to sit outside, enjoy the fountain and study in a relaxing environment. The square is often used for seasonal activities on campus such as the CCC Choir singing Christmas carols and a place to come see the annual Christmas Tree during Raven Holiday. Raven Holiday is an annual holiday event put on by CCC for the community.

The Russell H. Graham Library is the focal point for learning at the College and lifelong learning in the community. Named for the College's second president, the library supports the philosophy and curriculum of the College by providing materials in all subject fields taught. The collection presently includes 17,500 books, 73 current periodicals, four Internet workstations and staff that is trained to assist in research and service learning.

The Multi Media Center is located in the Arts & Sciences Building. The state-of-the-art 48 seat surround sound theater has leather reclining chairs and is completely free to any CCC student.

Movies are shown twice a week with three available show times. Additionally, the center has been used for faculty and staff professional development, recruiting and retention activities.

THE STUDENT SUCCESS CENTER

The Raven’s Roost Coffee Shop is located in the bottom of the Library and serves Starbuck’s coffee products. The coffee shop also keeps a number of convenient, deli-style food items, and pastries on hand.

The College Bookstore is located in Weinberg Hall. It is owned by the College and is provided to serve students, faculty, staff and the community. The Bookstore is where you can purchase all your Red Raven gear, and textbooks for all classes.

The Student Success Center is located on the Main Campus. The primary goal of the Student Success Center is to help students be successful in college by providing individualized instruction to strengthen academic and study skills; peer study groups led by a Student Success Center facilitator are also available for selected classes. The labs also allow students access to computers, software used in most college classes, the Internet and free printing for academic purposes only. The Student Success Center offers academic advising, degree plans, student disability accommodations, ACCUPLACER testing services, and provides testing and test preparation assistance.

SPENCER / ROUNDS THEATRE

The Spencer / Rounds Theatre has 337 seats, with a full stage, & a fully equipped light and sound system. This theatre is used for all CCC Theatre department productions & community events. The theatre is located on campus in the Arts & Sciences Building.

COMMUNITY BIKE SHARE CENTER

Coffeyville Community College has partnered with Visit Coffeyville, the Tourism division of the Coffeyville Chamber. The CCC campus is one of 3 locations, located in Coffeyville to provide bikes for the community. The bikes can be used by renting them with the Movatic App. One free hour with code BIKECVILLE.

NELLIS EAST & WEST HALLS

Nellis Hall is home of the Red Ravens Men’s National Championship basketball,Women’s Basketball and 2x National Champion Volleyball teams, as well as Athletic Band and Choir.

Nellis Hall is named after the College’s long time Dean of Administration Gilmer Nellis, who also served as the official scorekeeper at both home & away games for the Red Ravens.

WELLNESS CENTER/GYM

The Wellness Center is located in Weinberg Hall. Individuals who want to participate in intramural sports, open gym, campus events or fitness activities can enjoy working out in the Wellness Center/Gym. The Wellness Center is offered free to students, faculty and staff and is open at certain times and days of the week.

VETERANS MEMORIAL STADIUM

Veterans Memorial Stadium is home of the Red Raven football team, Soccer Team and Track Teams. The Stadium has the following: FieldTurf playing surface, NJCAA sanctioned track, 5,500 seating capacity, Public reception level Suites - 4 suites and a Coach and press box level.

STUDENT HEALTH CENTER

The Student Health Center houses the CCC Nurse’s Office. It is located on the bottom level of the Student Union. A registered nurse is available in the Student Health Center during morning hours. Students are encouraged to see the nurse for routine questions. In the event additional medical attention is recommended, the College nurse can assist in making those arrangements.

WALTER JOHNSON PARK

The Red Ravens baseball team plays at Walter Johnson Field and the Red Ravens Softball team plays at Byers Field located in Walter Johnson Park.

Both fields have undergone new renovations including grand stand seating and backstops.

MULTI-MEDIA CENTER Student life activities continue to be a high priority for CCC. With almost twenty-five percent of the student body living on campus, maintaining an environment that is safe and enjoyable is held to the highest importance. Since Coffeyville does not currently have a movie theater, being able to provide the students with the ability to see a movie on campus, free of charge, was appealing for several different reasons. The state-of-the-art 48 seat, surround sound theater has leather reclining chairs and is completely free to any CCC student. Movies are shown twice a week with three available show times.

An on campus movie theater provides students with the same big town amenities that they enjoy, while also providing the safety and convenience of it being on campus. It allows our students to de-stress from classes and just enjoy themselves.

TRAINING ROOM Coffeyville Community College features a large (1,500 square foot) facility including treatment, taping, rehabilitation, and whirlpool areas, a student health nurse with a physician’s examination room, and head trainer/assistant trainer offices.

The training room allows for the care of a greater number of student-athletes which in turn means more “hands on” experience for a greater number of student athletic trainers.

This additional experience will enhance the student trainers’ knowledge-base to help them work toward their goals of becoming NATA-BOC certified athletic trainers.
