Prayers of the People on All Saints’ Celebrant: Today we keep the feast of All the Saints. We celebrate those holy ones who lived in grace, died in faith, and have entered into the joy of their Lord. Let us now give thanks for all the great saints of Christ, and for all the holy people of God who have gone before us.

And let us pray for all Christian people, for all Christ’s Church throughout the earth, who are still in our pilgrimage, that we may grow in faith, hope, and

charity, and come at last to praise him with all his saints and all the company of Heaven.

And on this holy day, let us pray for our brothers and sisters from this Cathedral congregation who have died in the year past, for our families and friends and all those we love who have departed this life, that they may rest from their labors and enter into the joy of God’s eternal sabbath rest.

Here all members of the parish who died since last All Saints’ Day are named. The congregation is encouraged to add names of their own departed in the silence which follows.

The All Saints’ Day Blessing May Almighty God, to whose glory we celebrate this festival of all the Saints, be now and evermore your guide and companion in the way. Amen.

May God, who has bound us together in the company of the elect, in this age and the age to come, attend to the prayers of his faithful servants on your behalf, as he hears your prayers for them. Amen.

May God, who has given us, in the lives of his saints, patterns of holy living and victorious dying, strengthen your faith and devotion, and enable you to bear witness to the truth against all adversity. Amen.
