Thesurfacehardnessoftheworkpieceafterthermal spraying/surfacingishigh,andthesurfaceoftheworkpieceafter surfacingisnotveryregular,whichplaceshighrequirementsonthe
hightemperatureredhardnessandimpacttoughnessoftheinserts.
Inthisregard,HalnnSuperhardcanprovidethreetypesofinserts materials:carbideinserts,ceramicinsertsandCBNinsertsfor processingdifferentmaterials. Basedonyearsofpracticalexperience,HalnnSuperhardhas concludedthatmoresuitableinsertsmaterialscanbeselected throughthefollowingthreeaspects.
1.Thehardnessoftheinsertsitselfandthehardnessofthe materialbeingprocessed:Thehardnessoftheinsertsmustbe greaterthanthehardnessofthematerialbeingprocessed.Interms oftheirownhardness,carbideinserts,ceramicinsertsandCBN insertsare:carbideinserts<ceramicinserts<CBNinserts.
2Hightemperatureresistanceofinsertsandcuttingtemperature ofprocessedmaterials:Thehightemperatureresistanceofinserts mustbegreaterthanthecuttingtemperatureofprocessed materialsIntermsoftheirownhightemperatureresistance,the threetypesofinsertsare:carbideinserts<ceramicinserts<CBN inserts.
3.Impacttoughnessofinsertsandworkingconditionsand processingsurfacemorphology:Forexample,thesurfaceofthe workpiecerepairedbysurfacingmaterialsisirregular,uneven,and hashighhardness,formingintermittentcutting,whichhashigh

Technicaldifficulties:
1.ThehardnessofthesurfaceaftersprayweldingisHRC55-60, andthesprayweldingsurfaceisirregular,sotheinsertsneedsto havenotonlyhighhardness,butalsoacertainimpacttoughness.
2.ConventionalCBNbladeswithnegativechamferscannotbe usedduringcutting,otherwisethesurfacesprayweldinglayerwill bepeeledoff.
