The implications of the Lord holding your right hand are profound and multifaceted:
While on a retreat a short while ago, I felt the Spirit of God bring the scripture Isaiah 41:10-13 to my heart. It says:
10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
11 “Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish.
12 You shall seek them and not find them
[e]Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing.
13 For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’(NKJV)
Beloved, if the Lord says it, He will bring it to pass (Numbers 23:19). At this time when the world faces insecurity, instability, and reasons to fear, God is saying, “Do not fear!” He is taking your right hand to lead you
Compassionate Guidance: You do not have to navigate life alone; the Lord will guide you through life's journeys Constant Presence: He will stick close to you, indicating that He will never be far away, providing comfort and assurance in times of need. It confirms He is a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1)
Dependence on God's Strength: As He holds your right hand, a symbol of strength, it becomes clear that your strength may not be enough in certain phases of life, underscoring the necessity of relying on God's strength
Trusting Relationship: It demonstrates the importance of having a trusting relationship with God, relying on Him for support and guidance
Authority and Blessings: Since the right hand symbolises authority, leadership, strength, blessings, and freedom, it suggests that all these attributes must derive from God.
Divine Protection: God holds your right hand, your arm of defence, signifying that He is your ultimate defence and protector, who guarantees your safety and security
Dear Partner, let your heart rest in this assurance from God’s heart: “Fear not, God will help you”
Yours in God’s vineyard,
Dr Felix Oisamoje (rpa) Regional Director CBN Anglophone West AfricaHeart To Heart is a 25-minute interviewstyle program that delves into personal, social, and spiritual issues to aid viewers in their growth as followers of Christ. The program features individuals like artists, gospel musicians, choreographers, authors, and more who share personal testimonies detailing the experiences that have influenced and transformed them and how these experiences are reflected in their work. This unique approach captivates the audience and serves as a form of ministry, touching viewers' hearts. In addition, Heart 2 Heart provides
guests a platform to share their testimonies in a way that offers comfort and inspiration to viewers facing similar challenges. One thing Heart To Heart hopes to achieve is to see testimonies reproduced in the viewers' lives after they watch the programme.
Meanwhile, the program’s target audience is mature individuals, and its compelling content has the potential to resonate with younger viewers and those outside the Christian faith community.
After a long break following the COVID-19 virus outbreak, CBN Africa resumed her Partner stations' training from March 4-8, 2024. The training, which forms part of CBN’s commitment to excellence in broadcasting, is an avenue to build capacity across the Nigerian TV broadcasting industry. This year’s training, themed "Basic TV Production Techniques," included staff from 25 TV stations spread across Nigeria's geopolitical zones. To facilitate, David Baldwin and Michael Malpass, who both work as Managing Producers with CBN International, imparted knowledge from their decades of experience in TV Production. They delved into the subjects of Camera settings, Light set-up, TV production, Interviewer guides, and colour blending on set. The class was participatory, with practical sessions for everyone.
A feedback form was shared to know how impactful the training was. Here are a few anonymous responses collated from the respondents.
Though I have had lots of training classes, I think this is one of the best trainings. The facilitators are good at taking their classes and they have been engaging. I wish to have more days.....Thanks to CBN AFRICA
The training was fantastic. I thank the organisation for the knowledge they are imparting to media personnel. I pray to be part of the training next time.
in
houses is a
continuous learning process as technology is advancing daily. Thanks.
The training ended with a Raffle draw by the Regional Director, Dr Felix Oisamoje, in which Mr Ernest Eshiet, representing CRBC, received a book prize. The training concluded with the Regional Director sending his best wishes to each participant and the organisations they represent. He charged them, saying: “What you have learnt, and the certificate you have received is not for show; you should strive to teach your colleagues to harness the pool of talents in your organisation. The more you teach it, the more you gain mastery”.
There was joy and excitement in Gidan Kwano, Ogapa community in Nasarawa State, Nigeria, as they celebrated the dedication of a hand-pump borehole installed with a water filter by Operation Blessing.
The people in Ogapa could not afford to buy water from vendors, so they collected dirty water from a nearby stream for drinking and other domestic activities.
To curb the prevalent ailments within the community, Operation Blessing donated the borehole and enlightened the community members on personal hygiene and sanitation. OB also trained the community on how to maintain the well.
The residents of the Ogapa community are very happy about the new project Operation Blessing brought to their community. Now they don’t have to go far to fetch clean water.
From the day she was born with rickets, fiveyear-old Joan's childhood was a journey filled with challenges Yet, in the face of adversity, Joan's parents, Comfort and Victor, have shown remarkable resilience, never losing hope and tirelessly working to provide for her.
"We would pick her up after she fell before taking three to four steps," shares Comfort. "I had to carry her for longer hours to keep up with chores."
The family's financial situation took a drastic turn when both parents faced retrenchment from their jobs in Kogi State. With two kids to care for and Joan's medical needs mounting, the burden of daily obligations weighed heavily on their shoulders.
"We started a palm oil business to make ends meet," says Comfort. "But it wasn't enough to afford Joan's necessary corrective surgery."
Despite their struggles, Comfort and Victor remained steadfast in their faith, praying to God for a breakthrough. They knew that without surgery, Joan's future would be hindered by the stigma and limitations caused by her condition.
After five years of trying to find a solution, their prayers were finally answered when they crossed paths with CBN’s Operation Blessing, an organisation dedicated to providing humanitarian intervention to those in need. This encounter brought a glimmer of hope and relief to their lives.
Thanks to Operation Blessing, Joan underwent a successful surgery that transformed her life. Today, Joan is a happy and healthy fiveyear-old, free from the stigma and limitations imposed by her condition.
"My daughter can compete in a beauty contest now," says Victor, filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Operation Blessing."
Seeing her daughter walking with straight legs brings immense joy and relief for Comfort. "You have lifted this burden from me," she says tearfully. "God has answered our prayers. Thank you to Operation Blessing. Thank you, thank you."
Joan expresses her gratitude with a heartfelt message: "Thank you, Operation Blessing. I love you all."
Adeline Clinton is a 700 Club Partner. She shares her heartfelt experience witnessing our humanitarian initiatives:
"I have had the privilege of witnessing CBN’s impactful work first-hand: providing water to those in need and assisting the less privileged. Each moment of seeing people rejoice, mothers dancing, and children crying tears of joy, I am immensely fulfilled."
When asked about her motivation to give and partner with CBN, Adeline reflected:
"Having lived among those who suffered due to lack of clean water, I was deeply touched. However, I felt powerless to help until I became a partner. I realised how simple it was to make a difference and bless lives."
She emphasises the reciprocal nature of giving, stating, "Operation Blessing isn't just about blessing others; it's about receiving blessings yourself."
Adeline concludes with a reflective thought:
”Seeing people gain access to clean water brings me pure joy. Knowing that they no longer have to endure long treks for water, especially the young children, fills my heart with happiness. I am very glad to be a CBN Partner."
