CBM Judge’s Report / CBM Raduno 21.5.2017 / Ferrara, Italy Mrs Susan White, Ireland
It was an honour to be asked to judge the first CBM speciality in Ferrara Raduno. I was treated to the most wonderful hospitality from the club.

he Maltese were of the highest quality, beautiful specimens of the breed, and presented in immaculate condition. I was very impressed with my CAC male and my BOB male. They were both of type, with beautiful heads with the sweetest Maltese expression, great pigment, flawless movement, and lovely correct silky coats, cool to the touch and presented to perfection. I was splitting hairs for BOB. Another who caught my eye was my junior bitch, a compact young lady with everything in place, who commanded the ring as soon as she entered it. She was my eventual BOS. I will watch her career with interest, as she no doubt has a very promising one. One thing that needs to be watched are tail sets. One or two were a little flat, and can take from the whole outline of the Maltese.

he Bolognese: Again, some super quality dogs. Some good quality coats, of the correct colour and texture. My BOB bitch was beautiful, as soon as she entered the ring I couldn’t take my eyes off her, a real show girl, presented to perfection with the sweetest expression, lovely size. My BOS was another quality Bolognese, also a nice size, with a lovely temperament. What I did notice was the variation of sizes, also something that needs watching.
