OPEN MIC AUDITIONS: Feb 2-5 after school in RM 801 / OPEN MIC SHOW: Feb 13 @7pm in the Theater.
Tickets are on sale for the annual CB THEATRE SHOWCASE, a one night event on Feb. 6th at 7 PM, featuring songs, scenes, monologues and the one act play, LITTLE EXTREMES. Tickets are $5 general admission and sold in advance through the Ticket Hub on the CB website.
AUDITIONS for the spring play, EPIPHANY, a comedy by Brian Watkins, will be held on February 10th after school in the theater from 3 to 5 PM. Call-backs will be February 11th. We are excited to share that acclaimed author Reyna Grande will be visiting our campus on February 19. Reyna Grande, author of Across a Hundred Mountains, The Distance Between Us and other lovely books, will join us for a special event featuring a keynote presentation follow by a student-led conversation.
CB Thrift Shop - School dress code clothing is needed? The following dress code clothing is requested: CBHS /college sweatshirts, polo shirts, CB logo shirts, PE shirts and shorts. Donations may be dropped off in the Front Office. Please refer to the Dress Code guidelines in the Parent Handbook for more details.
Calling all Student Artisans…Earn Volunteer Hours! The Annual Auction generates over half a million dollars each year and we need YOUR help to accomplish this. The big date for the ‘A Night to Remember’ Auction & Gala is on March 14, 2026. We are currently seeking a few students who are interested in creating individual pieces of Art to be auctioned during the silent auction. Whether you sketch, paint, sculpt, woodwork, or something else, it is a chance to earn volunteer hours for your donated piece. All artwork will need to be submitted by February 13, 2026. SENIORS - Take advantage of making the final Kairos for your class. March 10-13, 2026. you can register and make payment here Kairos is a definite highlight in your senior year. It is a fun week of community building, reflection, and celebrating our faith in the presence of God. All that is required is an open mind to the retreat and faith experience. A student does not need to be religious to participate. All are welcome!
Optimist Club Oratorical/Speech Contest for Students The Optimist Club is encouraging area students to speak their minds about the this year’s topic, “The Moment I Realized I Belonged —My Definition of Community” as part of the Optimist International Oratorical Contest for the 2025-26 school year. The contest will be held on Saturday, February 28th 10am-12pm, at the Sierra Oaks office of Windermere Real Estate Company, 2580 Fair Oaks Blvd, Suite 20, Sacramento. Speeches will be judged based on content and presentation to determine the top winners. Top finishers will receive cash awards of $500, $300 & $100, with the two top finishers moving on to the Zone level and possibly the District level, for an opportunity to win college scholarship money. Winners of the District level will be eligible to compete in the Western Region competition at Saint Louis University. Regional contest winners will then compete in the World Championship, also held at Saint Louis University. Students could possibly win up to $22,500 in scholarships! The contest is open to students under the age of 19 as of Oct. 1, 2026 The deadline to submit the contest application and copy of the student speech is February 16, 2025.
