1. Return to Costco within 25 miles, or as soon as possible, after a tire installation or service to have your lug nut torque rechecked.

2. Register your tires using the DOT card provided to you at the time of your tire purchase.

3. Have your tires rotated, balanced and inspected every 7,500 miles, before a difference of 2/32 of an inch in tread depth is present between the front and rear tires, or as required by the vehicle manufacturer.

4. Have your tire inflation pressure checked at least once a month. Air migrates through a tire at the rate of approximately 1 pound of pressure per month. Altitude changes and changes in the ambient air temperature also affect a tire’s inflation pressure. Nitrogen stabilizes a tires inflation pressure longer than air.

5. Tire inflation pressure will increase when a tire gets hot. If your tires are hot, the inflation pressure will read approximately 4 PSI higher than if they were cold. Adjust your tires inflation pressure based off the hot or cold condition of the tires. A tire is considered cold once it has not been driven on for one hour or more.

Cold tire inflation pressures should be set to the vehicle manufacturers specifications. Hot tire inflation pressures should be set at 4 PSI higher than the vehicle manufacturers specifications.

6. Avoid using liquid tire repair products in your tires.

7. Never allow a tire repair to be done from the outside of your tire. A tire should be removed from the rim, inspected and then properly repaired using a two-piece repair process.

8. If you are purchasing less than a full set of tires for your vehicle, make sure the new tires or tires with the best tread are mounted on the rear of your vehicle regardless of the drive axle. This tire placement will ensure your vehicle is in the safest possible position for vehicle operation during inclement weather situations.

9. Rotation pattern options may be limited by the actual tread depth of the tires at the time the service is requested.

10. Read the Manufacturer’s warranty booklet provided to you at the time of your tire purchase.
