The junior squad of Coen Greaney, Jaedyn Stumbles, Scott Russell, Aaron Senzio, Jamie Nella, Harrison Rowley, Emmanuel Terzoudis-Lumsden, Isaac Waddell, Douglas Preston, Oliver Thompson, Oliver Martin and James McVey also performed solidly all year. Scott was awarded the Sub Junior Champion club award for 2012. These boys are in their first year of rowing and show great promise. They should aspire to taking out the Championship awards for their age group in 2013. On the senior front, old boy Max Armstrong achieved a solid third place in the B grade single scull. B grade is the second highest level in state rowing. Old boy Mario Lo Presti, with club rower Ben Williams, won the Mens A grade double scull eventthe highest level in WA. These senior

rowers are the examples our boys need to aspire to emulate. We were fortunate this season to have Fremantle CBC old boy Gino Chiarelli coaching the older CBC boys. Gino graduated from school in 1978 and has rowed at Fremantle ever since. He is mentioned in Bill Coopers' History of Rowing in WA as "a fine oarsman with many successes and an outstanding coach". Gino brings a wealth of experience and coaching expertise to the club. The older boys are now hard in training for the Australian National Championships to be held in Penrith in March. CBC is now making a real impact on the state rowing scene, and we look forward to a great squad of new boys next year. Be prepared to work hard! Mr Damien Flynn Coach 135
