The PNC Bank Cultural Leadership Award recognizes an outstanding graduate of CBCA’s Leadership Arts program who has made an impact on arts and culture in Colorado. ROOPESH AGGARWAL Senior Director – Business Innovation at Xcel Energy, joined the Board of Central City Opera after graduating from Leadership Arts in 2016 and has provided extraordinary leadership, guidance and vision as Board President and now Co-Chairman during a transformative time for the organization.

Honorees
The Arts & Business Partnership Award honorees are exemplary organizations that have gone above and beyond to support the arts and creative industries.
ARTWORK ARCHIVE Based in Denver with a global reach, Artwork Archive has been the preferred cloud-based art inventory system for artists, collectors and organizations for more than a decade. Artwork Archive focuses on advancing creative careers and the business of art through robust, accessible educational resources. They recently launched The Art Business Accelerator Grants, offering unrestricted funds and training.
THE COLORADO CHAUTAUQUA The Colorado Chautauqua in Boulder is one of only 26 National Historic Landmarks in Colorado and one of the few remaining chautauquas in the country. Colorado Chautauqua partnered with Cal-Wood Education Center for a unique Art in the Park program that raised awareness for wildfire protection and recovery through creative benches built by local artists from fire damaged trees.
CONSCIOUS ALLIANCE Conscious Alliance, based in Broomfield, is a network of creatives – artists, musicians, food makers and fans – using their talents and partnerships to end hunger. Conscious Alliance hosts “Art That Feeds” food drives at concerts and works with artists to create commemorate posters. Conscious Alliance collaborates with schools and major food brands to fuel meals across Colorado and the U.S.

FCI CONSTRUCTORS Headquartered in Grand Junction, FCI Constructors leverages their skills and resources to install downtown Grand Junction’s annual Art on the Corner sculptures, a nationally recognized longstanding public art program. In addition, FCI Constructors has been instrumental in the renovation of the Avalon Theatre and philanthropically supports the arts in the Grand Valley.
HOLIDAY TWIN DRIVE-IN The Holiday Twin Drive-In, located in Fort Collins, is one of few remaining drive-in movie theaters in the country. In 2020, Holiday Twin partnered with Fort Collins Musicians Association to provide a safe place for live music during the pandemic, when all other venues were shuttered. Together, they produced a weekly concert series supporting dozens of bands and hundreds of musicians.
MEOW WOLF DENVER Meow Wolf Denver’s new Convergence Station is the latest outpost for the Santa Fe based art collective. As a certified B-Corporation, Meow Wolf Denver has been investing in the metro area’s diverse creative community with a focus on social impact and accessibility, reflected in various aspects of the new facility and engagement in the Sun Valley neighborhood where they’re located.
PNC BANK PNC Bank has proven to be a champion of arts and culture partnerships through impactful sponsorships, significant grantmaking and employee leadership opportunities since entering the Colorado market in 2018. PNC was the title sponsor for Denver Art Museum’s acclaimed Monet exhibit, Colorado Ballet’s “The Nutcracker,” and various programs that benefit early learners through the arts.
URBAN PEAK Urban Peak provides a full convergence of services for youth experiencing homelessness to help them become self-sufficient adults. Urban Peak’s downtown Denver drop-in youth shelter created a new state-of-the-art music studio, spearheaded by a University of Colorado Denver songwriting professor, in order to provide youth experiencing homelessness with a cathartic and expressive outlet.

The EY Next Wave Leadership Award honors rising professionals who are leading the future of our cultural community.
TARA RYNDERS Tara Rynders has been a registered nurse for over 18 years, as well as a dancer and performer. Artistic Director and Founder of You & Me and The Clinic, Tara is harnessing the power of dance and creative play to combat compassion fatigue and burnout for nurses and healthcare workers through immersive performances, art-based workshops and virtual resiliency moments.
VOLUNTEER ATTORNEY IMPACT
Award
The Volunteer Attorney Impact Award recognizes an outstanding attorney who has provided pro bono legal services to Colorado creatives and advanced CBCA’s Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA) program.
DAVE REIN Dave Rein, an intellectual property attorney with Avek IP, is an advocate for the arts through his pro bono legal service and education with Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA). Dave also serves on the Board for 40 West Arts, is a member of the Jefferson County Cultural Council and provides legal consultations for entrepreneurs at Mi Casa Resource Center.

RICHARD CARTER Richard “Dick” Carter is a renowned artist and activist and has been spearheading creative development in the Roaring Fork Valley since the 1970s. He is the Founder of the Aspen Art Museum and has led the Board and development efforts for numerous arts institutions including Anderson Ranch Art Center, Art Base and the new The Arts Campus at Willits (TACAW) in Basalt.
