AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY’S VISION & MISSION
End cancer as we know it, for everyone Improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
Dear Cattle Baron’s Ball Supporters,
We hope you’ll join us this year for the 32nd annual Northern Colorado Cattle Baron’s Ball! For more than three decades, our community has supported the mission work of the American Cancer Society and raised over $11 million dollars. This is a significant achievement and has made an enormous impact on improving the lives of people with cancer and their families.
As Chairs of this year’s event, we hope we can count on you for your support. Like many of you, we have loved ones who have been touched by this awful disease. Supporting our community and people going through their own cancer journey is so important to us, and the work of the American Cancer Society must continue.
We all know it takes a village to support someone on their journey from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship, and we know we can make an impact through this amazing event. This sentiment led us to our theme, “It Takes a Village to End Cancer”, and we hope you’ll continue to support us and the mission of the American Cancer Society and join us this year!
We’re honored to continue the Cattle Baron’s tradition in Northern Colorado as we celebrate 32 years of supporting the lives of cancer patients and their families in our community.
Gratefully,
Craig & Tara Rasmuson, Chairs
Tonight, in honor of Kaye and her legacy, we will have special paddle raise levels recognizing her 32year commitment to the American Cancer Society.
32 years ago, Kaye Monfort led the inaugural Cattle Baron’s Ball in Northern Colorado. Over the years her passion for our community and Cattle Baron’s has had an immeasurable impact on not only the Northern Colorado community, but the mission work of the American Cancer Society. Her leadership and passion have transcended into an $11 million legacy that continues to support Northern Colorado and local cancer patients.
Cancer doesn’t discriminate. We have made enormous strides and progress over the years, but still, it continues to hit home for all of us, and all too often. Unfortunately, Kaye herself was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, and recently passed. Kaye was an incredible leader and invaluable member of our Cattle Baron’s village. She will be greatly missed and our hearts and condolences go out to her family and loved ones.
Join us in celebrating her legacy!
