ince childhood, Linda Dolman-Weddel dreamed
of beginning each day with a walk on the beach, sand underfoot, with the warm sun climbing the horizon. When it came time to make this lifelong dream a reality on gorgeous Georgian Bay, she wanted to engage a builder who would take a collaborative approach to creating her perfect beachside getaway. “Tamarack North has a great reputation,” she says. “We had heard about Tamarack from friends who used them to build their cottage about 12 years ago. We always said that if we were ever going to build a cottage, we would go to Tamarack first.” Linda envisioned a cottage built in harmony with the breezy, beautiful coastline at her doorstep. “We wanted the design to have elements of a southwest Florida beach house.” The Tamarack team of professional engineers and builders turned out to be a terrific fit for Linda’s vision to bring that Florida feel to Georgian Bay. The collaboration was smooth at every stage of the journey. “We found the Tamarack experience amazing. Their employees were great to work with, always positive, respectful and ready to work hard to realize the potential of our space.
