Main effects: Catastrophic events caused by wind have an ecological role in natural landscape by opening gaps in the forests that provide diversity of herbs, trees, and animals.
• You can be found looping around the space as well as letting you rise (as if you were wind it does not stay on one plain).
Concept Research: Psithurism: Sound of the wind in the trees.
Concept: Wind Erosion
• Also gathered inspiration from other forms of wind erosion such as canyons.
• The wind as in my design represents the humans in which inhabit this space and creates a pathway along their journey.
• Creates closeness amongst the space and lets you truly feel encapsulated by your surroundings.
• Wind erosion in trees can be a beautiful thing causing space for growth.

(Schedules vary and may experience the pod at all times of the day) Place to spend away from people.
After many renditions I knew I wanted to create a 3 dimensional space, this had to involve an elevator andstairs that should be incorporated into the design.
Places to do these activities: park with biking path, kayaking, biking.
PARTI
Relaxing activities: sleeping, playing with cats, hiking, and bird watching.
Waysbreaks.to destress: give yourself enough sleep, drink enough water to replenish fluids lost during the day, practice mindfullness, and treat yourself every once in a while.
Stresses and ways to destress Stress: Are not paid enough, work long shifts, fear of getting sick with no health insurance, fatigue due to constanly being on their feet and not getting enough

colors of materials to see what it does to the space. I defifinetly liked the wood material more in the negative space. which gave a warm feeling which is what I was going for.
COLOR THEORY
Colors selected were decided based off of nature. Green also has a calming effect which helps create a tranquil environment. Plants were also incorporated to connect humans to nature through biophilia. I stuck with a warm color palette which creates an intimate and welcoming setting.
where in the space lighter and darker colors would look best and draw your attention to. I liked on the top image how the ceiling was a dark color because it made you feel more encapsulated in the space and felt as if the ceiling was IMateriallowered.Selection:playedwiththedifferent

Lighting Studies: Black Vs. White I changed the curvature structure from black to white to see which material would give the feeling of having the wind going throughout this space. White was decided on because it is more pure and rejuvinating like wind.
I tried different kelvins to see if the space would look better warm or cooler. I tried 9000 Kelvins on the top image and 4500 Kelvins on the second from top. Overall, I like the warm light which is more appealing and inviting. AsEntryyou walk in it’s the first impression so I wanted to make sure the space would be well lit. The very bottom image shows what it would look like in daylight which I think casted really nice shadows. The second to last image I added uplighting on the back wall because it does get lost since the light doesn’t travel that deep.

PERSPECTIVE OF UPPER LEVEL WITH BALCONY SECTION MATERIALS
Reflected metal on sound wall allows more light to bounce off into the space and reflects warm tones for a cozier feeling. The white curvature structures in the perpective leads you to the open outisde. It creates a tunnel that leads to a beautiful view at the end. The White reflective solid surface was chosen to replicate the wind and its pure state allowing you to have clear thoughts.

PERSPECTIVE OF UNDERNEITH STAIRS

o Focus on the bronze metallic piece; pick it up and play with the light reflecting off of it inside and outside the space.
Interaction
o Grab the off-white stone; tap gently focus in on the “thud, thud, thud” in which you experiencing the pod walking through.
o If you’re bold enough taste the fresh air given by the fan by holding it up to your mouth; they do say “nothings better than a breath of fresh air.”
o If you’re still not calm take the fluffy ball and imagine it as if it was, your favorite animal. Gently petting its fur.
o Press the large tan button. This replicates the sound in which will be experienced while inside the pod. A sound wall was built to emphasis the sound of wind passing through the trees.
o Rotate flashlight around the outside of the sensory display, focusing on the shadows being casted on the interior.
o On the inside of the curvature feature is a wallpaper that you can view the shadows and slight texture. Run your fingers ever so slightly across the material to encounter the textured material.
SensoryVideo
o Take the wood and smell the light fragrance of natural material which creates a natural wood aroma.
o Grab the fan. With one hand inside the structure feel the wind being created. Move the fan closer and further away to create different dynamics.
o 10 Seconds to reflect where you’re the most relaxed.
